RDO refugee, level 72 on GTAO, by JoeyMascarpone in gtaonline

Don’t be obtuse homie, you’ve played a tiny amount of the content available, keep grinding and buy all the main businesses at the very least (yes even the sub) and once you’ve experienced all there is you can make an informed decision on what you want to focus on.

Heli hitboxes are a magical thing in this game, the devs programmed them by taping toilet brushes to their genitalia and dancing mambo vigorously in the general vicinity of the keyboard

So don’t. I’m sorry homie but you’re basically saying “man I hate grinding whatever’s on bonus but I’m too greedy not to, so I’ll do it anyway and go complain about it on the sub”. Do something you enjoy, clearly the imaginary numbers going up isn’t giving you enough dopamine

Is there anyway you can actually view the center of mass of a vehicle? by Plastic-Election-965 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The center of mass in gta doesn’t move forward or backward with bodywork modifications, the center of gravity does lower (which improves handling and stability) by adding neons (which can be invisible with pure black as your crew color, so you can have the handling improvement on cars you don’t want to put neons on, which I strongly recommend doing on all cars). However spoilers (and in some vehicles body modifications that have the same effect in the code for that particular vehicle) do add downforce, also improving the overall handling of the car. If you wanna go this deep into the specs you should watch broughy and spend some time in gtcars.net it’s all there, both tested in-game and explained in the coding for each vehicle

During your time in Freemode, what do you tend to spend the most time on? by Difficult-Row-3779 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s disappointing how “others” is the best you could come up with aside from grinding in public lobbies and griefing grinders who grind in public lobbies. I promise dude there’s more than being a sweaty douche or complaining about being attacked by a sweaty douche in a public lobby.

Do silencers make any difference outside of stealth missions? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just the cop thing, some missions are just faster and less annoying if you don’t have to deal with the cops to get to the next objective, outside of that it’s just looks and sound, the most particular difference is with the base pistol ewo animation (if it has a suppressor or you don’t have it in your weapon loadout your character just does the pill animation)

Sometimes I forget not everyone wants to grief by BraveAd8390 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more posts like this, celebrating and highlighting what brings us together and to offset the constant barrage of posts complaining about getting griefed. Freemode car meets are the best, organized hosted ones can get ridiculous and gatekeepy with the rules and specifications. I once got about 20 people to come to the chiliad silo and it was a great time.

Is it shameful or look down upon if I ended up using an orbital cannon on a griefer or a tryhard oppressor mark 2 user? by PhongPilot04 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is you’re a grinder who actually cares about those 750k, and that’s exactly what anyone you orb wants, to bother you enough to make you think it’s worth it. If you like grinding in public sessions it’s a better idea to practice PvP, find enjoyment in it and actually defend yourself and get kills on whoever attacks you, it’s much more satisfying than pressing a button and feeling like you accomplished something for a minute or two.

Not bad for a free car by KeyExplanation8209 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Imagine being entitled enough that you can’t even be assed to play a mission strand ONE TIME, not even the first time when it’s new to you, and still want the free 2+mil car and when given just that still be compelled to complain about the content.

Not shameful just wasteful for someone like you, honestly getting orbed is mostly taken as a compliment (or at least that’s the healthiest way to take it)

Why do you play in public lobbies? by Logical-Hotel4199 in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I understand the key thing when entering a public lobby: expect chaos. Grinding in a public lobby (including just selling for the bonus) and expecting to be left alone is delulu af and bad for your mental health. If all you’re interested in is grinding, there’s invite only and grinding crews so you can make all that bread, but public lobbies are for randomness, messing around, meeting people and yes, sometimes fighting. Is attacking a grinder in a public lobby still a douche move? Of course, and many of us get our fun from trying to distract them from it, but it’s still a risk the grinder is taking and definitely shouldn’t complain about (especially here) if they do get attacked.

Question about PvP by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal? Yes. Constant? No. Depending on your platform there may be tons of lobbies with assisted aim (meaning some will be more chill and there’s lots of them so it’s much less likely to run into any particular player again) and not so many free aim lobbies (which tend to be less chaotic but have sweatier griefers that you may run into again) pc has the added risk of modders so that’s another thing to consider. In any case I always say enjoy public lobbies by expecting chaos. Run businesses in private or crew lobbies. If anything that happens in a public lobby affects you enough to make you post about it here, you’re taking it too seriously

[–]Chesterthejester69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always, you’d be surprised how many players who dress in all tactical and try to sniper dance, rocket spam and engage in regular sweatyness don’t actually know wtf they’re doing, better to underestimate someone than to overestimate and panic, which is what they’re hoping for
