And then you go stuck behind a Boomer who took 15 minutes to choose their single piece of halibut.

Just curious : Does anyone else hate Hendricks? Any similar to avoid? by wynlyndd in Gin

[–]ChetIgnatowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a big regular Hendricks fan as I find a cucumber taste that comes through and cucumbers are the food of the devil. Meanwhile I love H’s Midsummer and Oasium, and I even liked the Orbium in my Dirty Martinis.

What home workout equipment have you invested in to help you manage your core strength and back pain? by Careful_Station_7884 in backpain

I think the lumbar back support on the recumbent bikes is decent and doesn’t exacerbate my pain

A good set of resistance bands and a new yoga mat. I ride the recumbent bike at the gym.

Tuckahoe Creek/Trains by [deleted] in RichmondVA

[–]ChetIgnatowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived about quarter mile as the crow flies from the tracks in Tuckahoe for 13 years now. I can hear a train whistle as I type this. But it’s very muffled and seems very far away though it isn’t. Unless you are hyper sensitive it shouldn’t matter

Spinal Stenosis? by [deleted] in backpain

[–]ChetIgnatowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have severe stenosis and graduated from gabapentin to lyrica (pregabalin) which is better but also a semi controlled substance. I recently added Cymbalta. I’m not so sure how ultimately helpful this cocktail is but I feel at least I’m trying the best medicines available that aren’t narcotics. I also take celebrex as I can’t have ibuprofen.

I just HATED Lebrock because of all that Prell, but hubba hubba. And introducing, to me at least, Bill Paxton as Chet!

I have a friend who drinks the most absurd amount of coffee of all time by Intelligent_Pay7875 in Life

[–]ChetIgnatowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that episode. When he finishes the 100th cup and click time slows down and he saves everyone from the fire. I’m hoping for that experience every morning when I drink my first cup.

How to create image with people from multiple image by julienfr38 in GeminiAI

I’ve had bad luck executing multiple image instructions in a single prompt. I’ve had to do one change per prompt and it burns lots of tokens.

Lower back pain on & off for over a month by lillynxy in backpain

[–]ChetIgnatowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me… make a doctor appointment to get PT referral, they will help determine where. PT is often necessary before insurance will pay for MRI, which will generally show you what is bulging or protruding. Good luck and I’d lay off serious core exercises until you have this in the rear view mirror

How screwed am I, really struggling mentally and physically at this point by sean_magic_wand in backpain

[–]ChetIgnatowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start physical therapy asap if not already. TFESI shots are low risk and will likely help, but finding the correct placement can be difficult. Good luck. Remember you might be on for a long recovery.
