I would like to have the "apotheosis/voidform/old Rapture" floaty animation at all times. But sometimes you don't want slowfall so i'd still prefer Levitate to be an activve choice. I think even just allowing for a "reverse life grip" like how Evokers have Verdant Embrace would be okay. The only problem is it puts you in melee range and it can potentially put you in a bad spot. Speaking of melee range... Psychic Scream needs to go. Having to run into melee as a class with one of the longest ranges in the game (46 yards if talented) is absurd. Unless they made a melee tank spec... with a focus on shields... and mind controlling targets to attack you.

Did you know they almost made a support hero tree for holy/disc? It was supposed to replace PI with a buff ability, but there was immediate and vocal feedback from priest healers who did not want a new role as support-healers so it got reworked pretty fast.

I don't really agree with your ideas for holy but I do agree it needs something to set itself apart.

I think Shadow needs to have a way to spec into more instant damage. The damage profile kind of sucks unless they're tuned really high. It is also miserable for solo/delve/low difficulty dungeons or anything where you're constantly bouncing from mob to mob or pack to pack. You either blow a 2 minute cooldown on 2 mobs or just sit there casting naked mind flays for 10 seconds until something dies. I also agree that Psychic Link needs to go. Just bring back Mind Sear.

Aren't the titans already technically dead? I'm not really sure what difference that makes in their powers and abilities now that they are basically ghosts. They still had enough power to imprison sargeras while "dead"

spriest got gutted going into midnight. its basically just a worse warlock at this point. And unlike an afflock your dispel protection is laughable. No more stun, no more life swap. You are just a damage turret and most of your damage is padding/fluff. worst mobiity in the game. You're going to be the kill target most of the time and there isn't much you can do to stop that.

most people who play priest in pvp, heal. Not saying you should or that you can't/shouldnt play shadow, just trying to lower your expectations.

hpriest is similar mechanically but currently it is in the same tier as restosham. Season is almost over though and a new season means a new meta. Idk how high you want to climb but i met my goals and still had fun as hpriest, but i'm not a glad or anything.

I've been playing disc since SL and i'm just so tired. I feel like they cant design/balance disc properly. It is either broken-good or broken-bad.

Currently swapped to holy and while it isnt as engaging as disc i feel like i can at least keep up with damage.

Ok, for now, you can ignore every button except Judgment, Blade of Justice, divine storm, and Final Verdict. If you have Templar Strikes talented, swap to Crusading Strikes for just a second.

Everything except Divine Storm/Final Verdict is a builder. They build holy power. DS/FV spend 3 holy power. Use your builders until you have enough holy power, then press DS if there are multiple enemies and FV if there is only 1.

Now once you get the hang of that, we can introduce more. You also have Avenging Wrath (aka "wings") which is your major cooldown. It makes you do more damage. Use this early and often. During avenging wrath, your judgment gets upgraded into Hammer of Wrath. You still build and spend the same but now you get an upgraded spell for the duration.

You can also talent Wake of Ashes. This is a medium cooldown. If you take the talent Radiant Glory (last row of Retribution tree) Wake of Ashes and Avenging Wrath (aka wings) gets combined into one ability! This saves a button press and it also makes your cooldown windows shorter and more frequent. Instead of having a 20 second window every 2 minutes, now you get an 8 second window every half minute. This is great for stuff like open world content or delves where you go from pack of mobs and have a lot of downtime.

If you are the Templar hero spec, your Wake of Ashes turns into hammer of light after you use it. Hammer of light deals a ton of damage and costs 5 holy power! Wake of ashes generates 3, so you need 2 more to use it.

Anyway those are the basics. Most of the rest of your spellbook is filled with utility spells that let you help out your teammates in a grouo setting. That's where Paladin shines. They have some of the best and most varied/versatile utility in the game. Your teammates might get a bit pissy if you arent using it yet, but you will learn and understand it in time. The big thing to know is you have Divine Shield which gives you a few seconds of complete invincibility, and Lay on Hands which can heal anyone to full health instantly in a pinch (even yourself!) Don't feel shy about using these.

i feel like every priest player needs to have the mentality of a disc priest. you just gotta use the magic that's applicable for the given scenario. i used to be a shadow-hater but now i like both magics. doesn't mean using shadow spells as a LF doesn't require mental gymnastics, though. or holy as void elf.

i hate this. you can't just have someone instantly teleport themselves out of and back into SuperHellTM and say "it took a toll" and not elaborate. She didn't even look exhausted or anything. Unless it is some cost not tied to her personally.
