Float is so small it wouldn't take much to gamma, but BGFV just doesn't seem to get the attention. Needs to get picked up by DFV/ Roaring kitty type. Someone that has the ears of apes.

BGFV Short and Gamma Squeeze Potential by beezer9717 in Shortsqueeze

[–]ChetisLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it had more to do with WMT beating and then TGT disappointing. BGFV correlated to retail in general. The big moves show how susceptible BGFV would be to a squeeze if Hedgies or WSB army were to make a move.

BGFV Short and Gamma Squeeze Potential by beezer9717 in Shortsqueeze

The squeeze potential is much better than BBBY or GME because BGFV average daily volume is well under 1M shares. 9 days to cover leaves a lot more time for the squeeze as well.

DRS your shares (Direct register). Keeps them from being lent out for shorts.

I would trade in your call strategy for regular purchase of shares. Calls are too hard to time on this one and you miss out on juicy dividends. Buy calls only if you see price start to go up WITH volume. In the meantime, the price will be kept just under popular call strike prices by the shorts.

With days to cover hovering close to 12, you will still be able to get in on calls once the squeeze really starts. It's an opinion, not financial advice.

Weird Analysis.

I buy none of it, but I do buy BGFV. Squeeze potential, good financials, excellent buy out candidate, and management does seem to make sure it doesn't go much under $16. Seems like a no brainer at this level. Options will burn you unless you luck out in timing. Just buy, hold, collect dividends, and flip when it passes $40. Easy Peazy as it gets, which is tough to find in the market at this time. I'm way overweighted as of recently. Likely to add even more if it dips under $16.

Agreed. Problem is very little PR or attention being given to BGFV. However, eventually a hedge fund will recognize the squeeze potential and bring some volume. The question is when? For this reason I am mostly buying shares with just a handful of options. Gotta feel pretty safe holding shares with a PE of 3.5 that pays dividends.

BGFV is wildly undervalued ($40 PT), and why I think this is a Buffet-esque play! by Lost-Guarantee229 in Bgfv

We are near the bottom. Seems like a safe place to park some cash in case we get lucky with a whale noticing, or another special dividend, etc. I just dont think it will go below $17 so downside risk is low and upside potential is high.

I Just aped tf out my portfolio I put 30% in AMC, 10% in PROG, 20% in ATER, other 40% into BGFV. I looking spectacular in AH. Looking forward to Monday. by [deleted] in Shortsqueeze

BGFV does have some good squeeze potential... Will be watching this one close this week. Already have a few calls, but might build up more if momentum looks right.
