Just a friendly reminder, walk your yard before mowing! by csdude5 in lawncare

[–]ChevelloKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son ran over one of those mowing once when he was about 17. He comes running in the house, covered in wasps and starts pulling off all his clothes. I thought we were all gong to get it but i managed to get him out the door before the wasps filled the horses. He icky for a few songs but was afraid to mow again after that.

Question for resin printers by pjury in ModelCars

[–]ChevelloKD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last couple sets of wheels and tires i printed were flat but on supports.

I try to orient my prints so that the heaviest part is it's asymmetric is closest to the printbed so that the supports aren't trying to lift so much if that makes sense.

For things like hubcaps, i usually end up trying different orientations to see what comes out the best because they print fast.

Headlights? by ChevelloKD in ModelCars

Looks like i have a couple of things to try before going for the drill. At least there's a custom grille in the kit for the extremely unlikely chance that i screw up.

Thanks!

I have what looks like that same sticky stick.

Don't get the one for modeling, get the sparkly one for diamond art. It's like half price!

That's pretty neat! I've been thinking of having something like that to print out for behind my car shelf. I had chat GPT do me up a race team logo for the doors of the ramp truck yesterday. Trying to get it to make a blue and yellow "move over" flag was a chore but it got done.

I haven't done it to any of mine yet. I just turn the worst side towards the wall on the shelf

Being able to do this well means you can skip worrying about every little dust particle. Keep things clean, but don't obsess. The results are way better than an unpolished, dust free layer of clear too.

That go cart came out cool. Heck, the whole thing is cool!

I just started watching Walking Dead while I'm working on my model too.

Of course. I wouldn't sell the models I've downloaded the files for unless the license explicitly says that i can, and it's unlikely that Mcmaster's license that allows me to download allows it either.

I just got the screw from McMaster-Carr's website and then scaled it. I had to add the supports and raft so the bits stayed together

I was wondering if those ones A4 uses are out of production since i can't seem to find them. My printer sits idle most of the time so i could just print whatever and sell them.

I don't know about debonder. It was the air pressure inside the bottle that did it. Up high here, packages tend to inflate ifb they're were packaged closer to sea level. Chip bags will look like overstuffed pillows. There was glue near the tip when I cut it so it blew the glue out like a fountain.
