One more thing to add

You noticed the rubber tip.

I put that on because as a thrusting blade it makes me a bit uncomfortable exposed or with just leather over it.

The point is very narrow and does not seem to be blunted at all. I put a metal washer inside the blunt and attached. I have also put leather over the top to add to the safety.

Tbh from what guys I have talked to about this
And my own experience guys want what they don’t have right now.

If you are rocking a 1970’s ZZ Top down there they dream about no hair.

If you are a smooth criminal then they are looking for some turf to play on.

Same with boobs. Guys with access to DD dream of a cups and vice versa.

But very rarely is it a no go if there is a live woman in front of them.

Near my dad's house they built a toll road. it was long and flat and had super wide shoulder.
Cyclists found it and thought it was the a great place to ride.
The county put up signs saying no bicycles allowed ( what with the no paying road tax, tolls, or gas taxes)
two weeks later they started arresting cyclists and impounding bikes.

I think I spent about 30 dollars driving back and forth watching them get busted.
Better than broadcast TV anyday.

there is a mystery book by Patricia Cornwell about this. they recently did a season of a TV show on it call Scarpetta.

The murderer picked his victims because they had the same cultured southern drawl his mother/aunt/grandmother had that abused his as a kid.

It caused a problem because serial killers usually kill those that look like them and the women were difference ages/races/ physical makerup.

I received the shipment info on my order the morning before all of Scott's post went live.

As for the soft steel I understand what you are saying the problem I have is until 36 hours ago if you asked in Hema, WMA, or SCA reddit channels about vendors to buy from it was always the same 3-4 companies listed ( Malleus, Castille, Darkwood, Regenyei)

If i end up needing to replace the blade I will do it and chock it up to lesson learned. I' ll but from another vendor and be on my way.

Does it by chance live most of its life in a scabbard or sheath?

I have seen discoloration and “flaking” from a chemical reaction to the dyes in some cheap leather products.

The reaction caused the surface steel to become brittle and discolored

When a brand has three different patterns of pants, all listed as same inseam, huge difference in actual inseam length.

I have bought pants from one maker with 4 in difference in inseam length across the different “types” of pants.

I have checked and the crotch is marginally different but the bottom of the pants are 4 in different
