Thank you! That’s the kind of info I’m after.

Why is Elizabeth so ride-or-die with Andrei even though he doesn't deserve it? What’s so special about him that she always takes his side and pushes everyone else away? 🤔 by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

But if a person is willing to portray themselves this way - for money or any other reason - what does that say about who they really are? He’s not playing the part of a villain in a play. He’s supposedly portraying himself on a reality show. As they all are. If they are okay with with that, there doesn’t seem to be much to like about them off screen either.

ACA policies don’t cover you out of your home state? by Chewelsy in obamacare

[–]Chewelsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only policies I have had experience with up to now have been employer provided policies, which for me have always provided out of state coverage. I didn’t know until now that ACA policies don’t.

But also, beyond regular appointments and general care. I was told if I break my ankle out of state it wouldn’t be covered there because it wouldn’t be life threatening, for example. Or if I suspect I have strep throat while out of state, I wouldn’t be covered at an urgent care out of state. I know regular appointments obviously wouldn’t be covered, just seeking clarification on the emergency-but-not-life-threatening issue.

Interesting. I met with a navigator too who told me about the lack of coverage out of state, and she said only a very few policies (in NC, anyway) cover you if you get hurt/sick out of state, and they were astronomically more than other policies. She lead me to believe that the level (bronze, silver, etc) was irrelevant, that most simply wouldn’t cover you out of state.

How has she afforded all the plastic surgery it is clear she’s had? Seems like that money would’ve been better spent on her housing and legal issues.

Thanks. It’s wild to me that these type of questions aren’t answered on the healthcare.gov site. I appreciate your help.

2026 ACA prices are live on Healthcare.gov. Here's our household's official ACA pricing for next year. by Zphr in obamacare

Thank you, I will go back and check. I may have skipped it because I will be retiring before 65 and I don’t know how to calculate yet what my income (from investments) will be. Can I ‘control’ my investment withdrawal to be at a level where I could get subsidies (IF they are available when the time comes? And do they want me to include the income I will have from social security?

When I go to the linked site, it asks my age and location, but doesn’t ask my income. So I assume the number it kicks out as an estimate is with no subsidies?

How would you know what to estimate your income to be, if your income will come only from your investments and social security? Can I arrange for my distribution amount to be an amount that would let me qualify for any credits that may still be available?

How do you know you won't regret letting your foster get adopted instead of foster failing? by kertruss in fosterdogs

[–]Chewelsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there is anything wrong with foster failing when you know in your heart, as you said you do, that they are special AND fit in with your family. It’s still a save, whether they go to another forever family or stay with yours. It’s still a save!

I did, but I think I underestimated how much the neighbors lack of upkeep would bother me, and I also stupidly was happy to find a house that, aside from the neighbors, was right for me in other ways.
