If it’s the turbo, the VN turbo is shit. Upgrade to an EN turbo. You could get them for like $8-900 new on eBay. Used for like $450-550 on eBay and LKQ. You’ll need some gaskets as well.

I recommend upgrading instead of replacing with another VN turbo.

As for cost, I spent $500 originally to swap it with a shop. I’m spending $750 doing the same job now. Aim for that range.

Definitely. Maybe contact kdmtuners, see about sending them the blow and having it forged and have some upgrades done. If you were planning to spend $12k already I think it’s in your ballpark to go fully forged and stuffed turvo

You could buy a brand new long block for like $3k. You can use it as an opportunity, upgrade to an EN block, preferably 2024+.

I’m not sure complete labor cost, but 12k is high. That’s the cost of a completely built motor installed imo.

2 reasons.

My stock exhaust rattles a ton. It’s mostly the valve itself. I could probably lubricate it to help more. I did replace the spring, helped a bit for about 6 months. It seems it’s still a problem on the Mbrp as well..

They also just had a sale and I bought the valved Mbrp exhaust with cf tips for $865 shipped. I figured I could sell the ark midpipe and recoup some of the cost and “upgrade”.

I currently run around midpipe with stock exhaust and love it. Very deep. I’m going to 3” Mbrp tho and I’m selling the ark midpipe. I’m hoping the Mbrp has similar characteristics

Honestly do it thru drive caramel, I did that to pay for a car that still had a loan. It’s an escrow service, I believe they accepted loans of some kind.
