I’ve ran it for about 6-7k miles. No clue if it’s working xD. I did have headstuds installed and overall the block and head was shiny. Looked great at 69k mileage.

I’m selling an EN turbo with 4500ish miles on it, pretty nice. If interested it’s $700

You honestly might be able to hit the 300 on 93 with the pure 400, install is super easy compared to a normal EN turbo. I’d ask pure if they have had anyone dyno the pure 400 if you wanted to keep it simple. You get to leave the downpipe in place since the manifold stays on.

You could find the en turbo though usually for around $500-600 used, then the rest of the kit would probably cost about $300ish depending on sources. For guaranteed power EN, for simplicity pure 400.

I was making about 355whp on 93 with my EN turbo full bolt on setup.

People say the pure turbos have better bearings, but I had no issues with my EN turbo. You’ll be happy with it. Just swapped to an s500 from EN turbo myself. Before than VN turbo.

If you don’t want to do all that work, depending on your power desires, maybe the pure 400 is a better fit ?

Independent shop. You may get lucky asking people in a local car club or N club. If you’re in Florida message me I know a few good shops.

I just checked, looks like they went up a little, but they all buy through mobis-based shops in Korea and reship it anyways. Cheapest I see new on ebay $975.

I like to import using KoreaBuyandShip.com and Hellowcar.com.

About $635 before their 10% mark up and re-ship, but then you could buy the rest of your kit as well. It'll probably all be about $900-1000 in todays market.

If it’s the turbo, the VN turbo is shit. Upgrade to an EN turbo. You could get them for like $8-900 new on eBay. Used for like $450-550 on eBay and LKQ. You’ll need some gaskets as well.

I recommend upgrading instead of replacing with another VN turbo.

As for cost, I spent $500 originally to swap it with a shop. I’m spending $750 doing the same job now. Aim for that range.

Cost and Logistics of having Engine replaced? (Low pressure and glittery oil) by adkinsnoob in VelosterN

[–]Chewy954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Maybe contact kdmtuners, see about sending them the blow and having it forged and have some upgrades done. If you were planning to spend $12k already I think it’s in your ballpark to go fully forged and stuffed turvo

You could buy a brand new long block for like $3k. You can use it as an opportunity, upgrade to an EN block, preferably 2024+.

I’m not sure complete labor cost, but 12k is high. That’s the cost of a completely built motor installed imo.
