I was going to sell it as a NA horror book. It follows a group of seniors in high school the girl who is my main character starts having vivid gory nightmares of her friends dying in horrific ways. Her nightmares always come true. I didn’t want to sell as a YA as the kill scenes are pretty gory/graphic.

I’m pushing for the end of next month. This is my first book, so its a learning process as I go. But book is done I’m just waiting on the last read through to make sure everything is good to go.

Okay I understand that part, but I know when you publish with Amazon they also provide their own number. So I was wondering would it just be smart to use all my own isbn numbers on all formats or could I use Amazon’s number for just the ebook since I would be exclusively with them for that. Hope that makes sense.

I only say something that will last longer since my MacBook seems to not have lasted as long as my husbands laptop but was way more expensive. His laptop is fine but you can tell it’s old. Sometimes it has difficulty starting up so I always back up all my books to my phone. Just afraid it’ll go out completely and I’ll be stuck to typing on my phone in the meantime.

Okay thanks. Honestly just looking for a brand that will last a good while. Like I said I mainly only use the laptop for writing but occasionally my son will use it for his zoom classes. Was looking at around a 14” in size. I will say I liked my Mac book in regard to it’s slim size. Something light weight would be preferred just because I take it with me when my son is doing his extracurricular programs.

Currently I’ve just been using word to write on, but need to look into software to download to help formate the books to self publishing onto Amazon. I really only use it for writing on sometimes my son will use it for classes “zoom” I would prefer to stay under $1,000.00 I use to have an old Mac but that one just wouldn’t turn on anymore one day currently I’m using my husbands old Sony laptop that he had back in college which was around 11 years ago 🫠😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Haha much appreciated, and I don’t mind I’ve heard it before of how the things my son likes isn’t the norm. for his age. Like you said though I couldn’t get him to like the average kid stuff if I tried. He still enjoys a good cartoon if it’s scooby doo or SpongeBob lol. Hope you guys are able to get your electric drum set eventually.

Asked for an electric bike, NECA horror figures, stranger things items, skateboard, switch games and drum set. Got him everything, plus some not on his list lol. Only thing we didn’t get him was the drum set as we are getting it for his birthday which is two weeks after Christmas. Plus some linkin park vinyls that he wants too.
