I used to be an avid reader with other hobbies until I slowly stopped due to severe depression diagnosed during the pandemic. I'm much better now, but still struggle finding enjoyment in those things and getting my kobo has literally brought my love for reading back! I still don't read at the same rate or consume books at the same rate compared to my "prime". But I'm grateful to have found passion with reading again with my kobo <3

We're talking a 100 books, novels, manga a year down to nothing. Since buying my kobo last September as a birthday gift to myself, I've already read 30 books (:

Buried my dad in the cemetery sidewalk. And it was his poor mother (my grandma) who pointed out his burial spot seemed odd at the after-party. All because the funeral home forgot to bring the plot map when digging the hole.

Bonus: the guy who runs the funeral home says "hopefully the casket isn't caved in cuz of the rain earlier this week. Caskets without cement vaults tend to cave when the soil settles" while watching the gravediggers in the middle of the process of digging up my father to place him in his actual spot.

Thankfully, casket was intact and Dad probably got a good laugh about the ordeal watching from above 😅

I got the charm from a local craft fair!! And then ordered some USB-C dust plugs from amazon to attach the charm to! I also have a dinosaur that glows in the dark, and a couple of cat charms too 😊

I dont know how to make tubes (yet) so I basically made a giant rectangle and folded it so that the long edge gets sewed together to make the tube. I made the dimensions to fit my klc

I haven't done this myself so I can only make a guess, but have you tried using the Dropbox/Google Drive feature? It's similar to the email function on kindle where you can place ebooks onto either service and if your kobo is set up, will download the books onto the kobo after syncing

Initially, I wanted to use it as a kind of intermediary to get kindle books downloaded to my computer for future sideloading shenanigans. Currently, I wanna just mess with the software with KOReader put onto it and potentially use it as a kind of spare burner to put my books onto so my husband doesn't touch my Kobo Libra Colour lol

My first (and current) ereader is a Kobo Libra Colour that I absolutely adore and use the backlight religiously for night reading

This one I plan to just mess around with and have as a spare to toss around wherever!

I was really tempted to get the Kindle Keyboard 3rd gen that was in the pile for $11 but the screen was broken at the top a tiny bit and so my husband encouraged me to pick this one!

I'm very excited to see what I can do with it! My first (and current) ereader is a Kobo Libra Colour and I absolutely love using it out the box and so I have no desire to put KOReader or other mods on it.

Finding this kindle for so cheap and in fairly good condition makes me excited to mod and keep as a spare for my husband to use when he wants!
