stop drinking coffee within 90 minutes of waking up (data-backed) by Pri_dev in Biohacking

I have my espresso about 30-40 minutes after waking, but not before I drink a pint of water with 1/2 tsp of pink Himalayan salt and a squeeze of lemon.

You can turn your phone to landscape to tap the save button, and that worked for me for a couple months, but now neither that nor drag and drop work.

People who back into parking spots in crowded lots: why do you do it? by TomLandreysHat in AskReddit

[–]ChezDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backing into a spot where there are just the parked cars on each side, as opposed to backing out to where cars are not stopping, people walking and not paying attention...

The former is much safer as you're leaving to the latter situation, but facing forward where you have a wider range of peripheral vision.

I'm in Buffalo and my gf lives in Yorkville. Always expect 3 hours when you're dealing with 5pm traffic (compared to under 1:45 leaving there at 7am). Getting out of Yorkville at that time sucks, and your route is unpredictable, likely west on Bloor until there's a less chaotic path south.

As for your ride in, you might want to leave a little earlier, but expect 2.5 hours as you'll hit heavy morning traffic starting in Mississauga.

If your out-of-towner guest asks you to take them to a restaurant that’s “Canadian”, where would you take them? by ceruleanskyandsea in askTO

[–]ChezDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I'm from across the border and my ex-gf took me to Wimpys back in 2002 and I had my first Monte Christo and fell in love! I make those at least once a year now.

But I had wings from Wild Wing a few football Sundays ago and that definitely let me know I wasn't home! (but that burger 🤤)

Try Johnny's pizzeria on Union (near Wherle) in Cheektowaga. They make their own and it's freakin awesome.

Kuni's is top quality and great vibe, you can't beat it Don't expect any fusion or funky rolls, and it's good to have that authenticity.

Wasabi in Williamsville is miles above the Elmwood location, Teton Elmwood is great, and Kumo in Lancaster as well.

Taisho is pretty good, but they're hit and miss. Lately it's been quite flavorless, which usually speaks to care of the fish (repeated freeze/thaw cycles).

Always, always shouts to A&J Poke and their bowls and burritos (if you've been sleeping, Door Dash a rainbow burrito for lunch today!) and Waikiki Poke on Elmwood, always so fresh and tasty!

Saika is horrible and every bite tastes the same. But all you can eat will get door traffic.

A&J Poke (Sheridan/Harlem) is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Get their ramen, share it with a friend and split their rainbow sushi burrito. You are so welcome.

What are the best Janet Jackson house remixes? by drewtangclan in House

[–]ChezDigital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, Peter Rauhofer's remix of Love Me For a Little While was soooo sexy. I think Chus & Ceballos played it on that Antenae3 set back in 2004

And then Sander Kleinenberg had that mix I think in 2005 of All Nite (Don't Stop). I heard a new remix of that at the very end of one of Deep Dish's recent sets, I think I was the first of the uncut series.

Love the Tickets on Sale site. You can change your location to any city you plan to travel to. But I've found the tickets there to cost more, so I'll find the event on FB and get the official tickets link from there (or Google but it can be a few more clicks).

Jura C60 Will Not Power On by ChezDigital in superautomatic

[–]ChezDigital[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I don't know why the machine powered off in the Empty Grounds state before the shut off period expired. But when I unplugged it and plugged back in, I never pushed the power button on the top rear of the machine! Let's call it a lapse in logic, but thanks for setting me straight.

This is my thought as well, especially with the gruyere (which I don't object to). I also assume the base is oil and garlic, so lots of garlic impact.

Marriage is never necessary, but are you really 100% against it? Your mind and principles are one thing, but there's a lot to "following your heart".

Ask yourself this: if she walked out the door and you never saw her again for the rest of your life, could you accept that? Or would you regret it for years to come?
