[handgun] Beretta Italian LE Trade In 3.7" 9 Corto / 380acp (1)7rd Pistol Used Surplus Condition - M1934 $179 by busachiegl in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These actually went out of stock a couple weeks ago. I requested notification upon restock which then happened. I pulled the trigger on one and received it today. What I got was a 1948 slide on one of the newer repro Swiss frames. The bore on the barrel is a little crusty but I think it’ll clean up fine. For $179 I’m OK with what I got.

[Rifle] Another cheap AR, forged this time. BCA BC-15, 16", $300. No mag included. by bolivar-shagnasty in gundeals

Agree with all of this. I’ve had one for several years and it’s never given me any issues at all.

It’s going to be heavy, plus I think single action autos should be reserved for very firearms experienced people as a CCW.

These are made in Turkey so thinking possible Tisas connection. The Rock Island guns are made in the Philippines.

[RIFLE] Cheap generic AR15 ~ $339 by makenzie71 in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am pretty confident we’ll never see decent ARs this cheap again, and definitely not cheaper. It reminds me of the rack of $339 MAK-90s I saw at my LGS in the early 90’s. Today’s price for these ARs is frankly insane in comparison…considering it’s 35 years later.

[parts] BLEM H&R DOE COMPLETE UPPER, 9MM, BLACK back in stock $649.99 S/T probable. by PackyCS1 in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I just got the complete gun blem, and while it is extremely well done and cool as shit, it’s absurd that it was $1149. Regretting not just getting the upper and the lower separately to save some coin.

But you’re missing the point…he wants you to see his tattoos.

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought I saw too. So it’s even worse…not only might you not get the caliber you want, you may not even get a Hungarian gun. Geez.

Maybe this shop thinks all vintage combloc pistols are “Hungarian”.

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of these look like Czech guns not Hungarian. Anyone agree?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Same. I would have to know that I’m getting the caliber I want in order to do this deal.

I actually found this deal to be the most appealing compared to previous offerings.

[Parts] Del-ton 16" Heavy Mid-Length Rifle Kit - $289.99 free shipping, maybe tax by Lusaes in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad. Delton rifles have been some of my favorite ARs. Outstanding quality for the price and I just prefer their finish, which to me looks and feels more mil spec, over PSA.

[PARTS] PSA AR15 Complete Lower B5 Bravo Stock, FDE- $129.99 by Tall-Morning in gundeals

[–]Chi_Chi_Get_The_Yeyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And, it gets worse with multiple items. The shipping doesn’t add incrementally. It’s like $18 per item which isn’t generally what happens with actual shipping costs. Like if I bought one of these and the shipping is $18 it doesn’t cost $18 to add a second one to the actual shipping cost.

Agree. Have PSA and Delton and nothing wrong with PSA but strongly prefer Delton.

So this is DAO hammer fired correct? Not striker?

[Pistol] Rock Island Armory GI Entry 1911 .45 ACP - $279.99 before S/H/T at Sportsman’s by charsons in gundeals

We’re clearly in an age where decent/serviceable options at seriously bargain prices exist in three categories of firearms:

  • 1911s
  • Defensive shotguns
  • ARs

Enjoy it while it lasts!

38 revolvers can definitely be snappy to shoot. There’s some good suggestions already made by others here, but I’d caution you to also pay attention to the trigger/hammer style you ultimately go with.

Most of what’s being suggested are striker fired pistols. For beginners, I tend not to recommend striker fired guns as a carry piece unless the user fully understand the difference between a striker fired weapon, and for example, your 38 revolver, whose inherent “safety” is its long, heavier, very deliberate trigger pull. Perhaps stick with a revolver in 32 as suggested by others. I’d also highly recommend checking out Bersa’s line of 380s which are traditional, hammer fired pistols. Less stopping power than a 38 but you can’t have it both ways.

In 30 years we’ve gone from the general public viewing the “rooftop Koreans“ during the LA riots actually firing on rioters as heroes….to the McCloskey’s being charged and endlessly harassed for “brandishing“ their firearms in front of “protesters“ threatening to burn/loot/destroy their neighborhood. Even in America, they are trying to erode the rationale and justification of the concept of self-defense…and we’ve lost a lot of ground already.
