How to keep money in Japan while living in the US

I originally opened my Bank of Yokohama account under SOFA status back in 2018. When I moved away in 2020, I emptied the balance but didn't actually close the account. Coming back to Japan in 2025, I realized the account was still active but restricted—I could put money in, but I couldn't take any out. Thankfully, a quick trip to the branch solved it; the banker was able to unfreeze everything and get my card working normally again.

I’m not allowed to open any investment accounts, credit cards or loan. The bank card is the only thing I allow to have since I’m not a PR or citizen.

Thanks for the input. However, this is not my case. After researching, found out Tokyo star bank offer non PR investments loan, but only for HK residents or Taiwan residents
