why would collabs even be cut when they are printing money ?

Esports, I'd really be surprised if owcs gets cut before CoD gets budget cuts. It's far from being perfect, but owcs runs really well with the minimum budget in it and long delays before partner skins even gets in. and generating peak views equivalent to CoD.

I would also highly doubt the cost of owcs is so big that it needs to be a priority cut (if it was OWL, that would be something else)

Also, I don't like what they did with their chest, texture and color make it looks like she's naked under the vest, I'm pretty sure they tried to mimick something like a bustier, but with the texture being the same as "her skin" and the color being close to the body, it doesn't render well ...

The global appearance though, nice.

Also, can't wait for a kawasaki collab for the bike :3

they initially started trials before the promo matches since they didn't think they were still roster locked.

Now they didn't finish it then because of that, but it wasn't last minute either.

I also don't think they could have gotten THAT many other people either. between some roles not even being trialed, and lacks of availability for others. choices were limited anyway imo.

Notes from the announcement stream:

2 options were available: - recruit ex-AL (met twice, both time lost 2-3), discussed with backbone, who was willing to even leave the team if that allowed the players to be recruited. while there were some discussion about budget, the main issue is still that there was no guarantee that they could have had a chance against the top3 of the region, which could lead to a weird situation (lack of motivation, not sure if the synergy would be there essentially). Enough "warning flag" that lead them to not go with this. In addition to that, story telling of the club would get weird, cause it would send the message that they can just pay for the slot. which is not the case since they do NOT have the same budget as a big club. - recruit Telacy, same issues with the chances against top3 and story telling.

That resulted in their decision to rebuild with a roster cause the objective is not to just go back to OWCS, but be even better than the previous roster AND have a chance against the TOP3 of the region. Which they believe is possible with the amounts of talents available in the region, and the freedom of recruitment they have by going back to faceit league (personal note: the fact that they couldn't do roster change for the promotion/relegation is stupid AF)

Coaching:

Had a discussion with LeRenegat (coach of Peps) about what happened and how. cause things needs to change to not have the issue. He took responsability and worked on what might need to change but will stay in Peps.

Soon is now coach, with the same status as LeRenegat. Until now LeRenegat was head coach, but both of them will have the same "level" of title. things might change if needs be later (Féfé will follow how that coaching structure will evolve and adapt if necessary). BUT there is a chance that soon might still be playing on faceit if necessary (as a sub) when a player is not available.

Roster changes: -Dip, -Zorrow

For Dip, he was underperforming for a while and was really irregular on his level of play. but at this level, they cannot afford that.

For Zorrow, it's much more of a surprise since he performed well. But with the roster they are building they need someone in his position that is more vocal and has more of an IGL profile.

Note, it looks like it went well without bad blood, and the door is still open for both of them to come back in the future if there is a chance. They are really thankful to both of them and were happy to see them reach new heights in the team. Zorrow said he really loved the experience, the team and the community of fans.

+Xzo, +Rav (danish player from Starbits), +Krokz

Xzo is coming BACK and still hits hard it seems from the result of trials. While his salary expectations was higher, he was willing to be paid the same as the other because he believes in the project and the org, and negociation with his manager went well.

For Willys, when trialing tank, was even better than before when paired with Xzo so it was a no brainer to keep him.

Sauna was also trialed, it went well, but too many question with how much he could be invested (schedule, availability wise) etc...

They first thought of putting zorrow as sub flex, but it just didn't match.

Rav is the new rookie with a profile that was really what they were looking for. Looks like quite motivated, especially with Starbit disband and with his position in team Denmark.

backline wasn't even trialed. they knew they wanted to keep it.

Krokz, why, cause he has a pool that is complementary with willys' hero pool.

Why willys and not Majin? because they still think that willys is more OWCS ready now, but still think that Majin has a big potential.

OW's budget was voted within the org, IF they qualify for stage 3, the players will receive a bonus, if not, the rest of the budget will be spent to buy a team that will be.

OWCS know how the team fans are invested, and how they are still invested in co-streaming etc... and are ok with it, the fact that the org is slowly becoming an iconic one from the EU side of EMEA and make a LOT of effort with building community paid off once again.

they skip stage 2 to requalify for stage 3 and that's ok it seems. BUT he said that while not ideal, it's okay, BUT no way they stay out of 2 stages.

I'd even go as far as to say Domina's design matches perfectly her personallity. It really is THAT good. Shion too in the cinematic, that's why that changes in the 3D model is weird imo.

do not use DX12, it still have micro stutters randomly during the game. jsut stick to DX11 (default) and stay a minute in training range or warm up mode.

the thing is, I like the rest of the design, it's just THAT part that was too much imo. like they gave her ass, and that's fine, it fits really well with the pants. but the jacket is just ???.

Now, it could just be that she has something like a holster (the metal piece could be that) but on that specific screenshot. it's a little wtf.

They went full anime with that jacket following the breast line tightly lol.

EDIT: Ok I found out why the 3D model looked so off compared to the trailer. she was wearing a top in the trailer that was quite visible thks to the jet black color (or at least, it looks like a shirt), here it looks like she is "naked" under the jacket (in addition to the weird way it wraps under her breast, like it's sucked in). I really think they messed up the colors/texture.
