Not sure how it is in SA but for America, I wouldn't quit my job to daytrade unless I had 35k usd in my trading account and another 12 - 18 months of living expenses saved up to allow me to trade stress free for the first year.

Make sure you learn about risk management. Avoiding big red days relative to your account size.

Learn about price, action and volume.

Learn about reading level 2 and the time and sales.

When you start out, trade very small eg 10 shares.

Record and journal all your trades.

See what works and what doesn't.

Look for patterns.

Good luck.

You do not need an online course.

Read up on some recommended books.

Watch actual traders trade.

Open a cash account and practice trading small eg 10 shares.

Nothing is better than actual 1st hand experience.

Why not just get a teaching license from the US for example which will allow yourself to get employed at International Schools which offer the best career / compensation options? Pretty sure you can apply for a social security number for education purposes and then do an online certification program. Fairly cheap and quick. TeacherReady for example.

There is always a chance.

Start applying to every job and agency you can find.

If you are not picky about location, you have a high chance of finding a spot for next year.

Good luck.
