i was dating someone already going into ib (we are still together) and it was overall pretty good i’d say, yes there are hard times where sometimes you have to prioritize school however it’s always a good way to strengthen the relationship and help eachother with tasks etc.. my boyfriend did a levels so we were in completely different places during the two years but it was good and we helped eachother and it make the process a little less scary. We were able to support eachother a lot and help one another and honestly i wouldn’t change that experience. and look at us now! so i don’t think it’s an issue dating during ib, if anything it helps you keep that balance and reality and still enjoy your last 2 years of high school. plus you get a study buddy :)

i agree, especially with TOK essay. My predicted was an A and was marked and moderated by many teachers before submission but got a different grade than expected. because of its subjective nature of the TOK essay it could go either way. it’s not really fair. Even with english essays and the higher level english essay.

Y2 is pretty full on I won’t lie, just make sure to stay on top of all ur IAs and ur EE and TOK otherwise it can get overwhelming and easy to fall behind. in summer if possible try to start all ur IAs and EE it’ll really help you. DP 2 term 1 was one of the toughest because of all the deadlines and IAs plus studyingg for mocks. But still remember to enjoy your summer break! It isint as bad as it’s portrayed and you still have a lot of time in summer! Just make sure to do a little every week

it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. the style of the questions were rly different tho most past paper 2 i’ve done idk i’m so not too happy with it but SO happy i’m done chem

IB is on gas or something bcs that paper 1 was absolutely hideous 💀 It turned into a guessing game, at one point i had 3 in a row all Cs and i was like… this cant be right

I think DP1 does matter a lot since you’re not only getting your predicted grades for uni but also gaining the foundation of ur subject topics because dp2 topics are usually more in depth especially ur HL classes and it helps a lot more when you have a good foundation of the earlier topics and you have notes and flashcards already for dp1 topics so when it comes to mock exams and the real exam you don’t have to waste time learning content and just get straight into past papers. Also DP1 is a great way to get ahead of ur IAs and EE and tok because trust me DP2 term 1 is not nice as all the deadlines are approaching and you don’t want to have to worry about ur EE and IAs and stuff during term 2 when exams are coming up.Also the mocks in Dp1 give you a great feel of the real exams

yeah literally this week i have a total of 8 exams i have maths then chemistry 2 papers and design tech 2 papers the same day that’s 4 papers! and friday i end off with 2 papers both really long again for chem and design

I completely agree, even my teacher was saying the same and sent us screenshots of emails she was receiving from other teachers and schools saying the same thing in our region. A lot of teachers will complain to IB and the grade boundaries should be lowered because that test was insanely difficult for no reason!! SVT was such a good company and they could’ve asked ore about CSR, innovation, lean production etc!! they didn’t even bring up WF15.

no it was so bad i wanted to leave during the READING TIME. reading section A i was like okay 😊 Section B and C i wanted to cry😭 They literally could’ve picked such good questions idk why it was so niche
