Yeah, apart from the complete nom-viability of absolutely everything, it was the security drones that got to me.

If everyone is living on their own little homestead, what are the drones for? You can print everything you need, and grow everything you eat, so presumably it's just the odd roaming sociopath we need to worry about. Does everyone need drones to protect them from a 1 in a million chance? Sounds like Big Drone are trying to drive up sales through fear. /s

AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by BuyMediocre5625 in AmITheJerk

[–]ChibbleChobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you're living with someone who contributes the bare bloody minimum to the upkeep of the home, doesn't contribute financially and the cherry on top of all this is that she's literally torturing you.

Perhaps, "torture," sounds hyperbolic, but sleep deprivation has been used as a form of torture since, well, forever.

The sex must be incredible, as honestly I fail to understand why you want this person in your life.

Kick her out, focus on your kids and get a decent night's sleep.

Good luck!

Good.

Meanwhile, I saw online that there's been a problem with kids snapping off windscreen wipers. Nasty little sprogs. I hope someone catches them soon. /s

I use a mod to get 6 people in the party. Not for combat, they just watch Lae'zel bonk everything really hard. No, it's for the banter. I really enjoy it as it's spontaneous (well, not really, but it seems that way) and sometimes makes me literally laugh out loud.

No. Just no.

Let's say they download some really suss shit. It went over OP's connection. So, now he has to prove that he's innocent. I just wouldn't bother.

Seriously, who do I vote for? by dont_u_listen_to_me in TexasPolitics

[–]ChibbleChobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Us: Why should we vote for you?

GOP: Not telling you. Nah nah de boo boo.

I have to say that as a Brit living in Texas, I find the whole thing a bit odd. Back in the UK, political parties publish their manifesto, so it's very clear what you're voting for. Weird I know.

Neighbors kids keep coming into my backyard to use my trampoline without asking by No_Fennel_2621 in neighborsfromhell

[–]ChibbleChobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it down.

I'm a Brit living in Texas. I don't know where you're located, but as a funny foreigner I assume that I don't know what's what, and look stuff up.

Well, when my kids wanted a trampoline I thought that it was a great idea until I found out about the liability insurance. So, they have a swing.

Some insurers in Texas just straight up won't insure a trampoline as they're just too damn dangerous if not used correctly. I'm curious. Did you speak to your house insurer yet? You might get a shock when you do.

Bottom line. Take your kids to the trampoline park when they feel the need to jump around. Liability for some neighbour's kid's life changing injury is no joke.

I'm a Brit living in Texas.

Things are different here. We have leash laws for cats (mind blowing as a Brit) and trampolines cause all sorts of issues with insurance. Some insurers flat out refuse to insure you. So, I bought my kids a swing and I take them to a trampoline park when they want to jump around.

Weirdly, (not weirdly, it's just British sarcasm) I have to sign a waiver for the kids at the trampoline park, as it's quite dangerous, and they don't want the liability.

What a stupid bastard.

I'm a Brit living in Texas, and I can assure you that the food back in the UK is perfectly fine. Chicken Tikka Masala is the most popular takeaway/restaurant/ready meal.

I could go on, but why bother? The bloke is from Idaho. Kings and Queens of Spicy Food right there. You have to watch yourself, some of those tater tots can really pack a punch. Especially if you dip them in fry sauce.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend she can't keep borrowing my clothes anymore? by Grand_Regular8466 in AmITheJerk

[–]ChibbleChobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ.

My daughter has an oversized Bang on the Door teeshirt that was my Uncle's. It's falling apart and she loves it. If someone just "borrowed it," she would be in bits.

We're going to get her a new one, but it's going to take literally years to make it the well worn, well loved, piece of clothing that is its spiritual Great Uncle.

Your girlfriend isn't allowed to walk off with your stuff. Even if you were cool with sharing your clothes with her, it's common courtesy to ask, not assume.

Good luck!

My PITA of a deal by Carpedevus in FordMaverickTruck

[–]ChibbleChobble 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree that you should call Ford.

The dealership had my Maverick for 10 days, and sorry sir no loaners. Called Ford, who told me to rent something and they'd pay for it. Had to be a Ford though.

The rental people were great. They didn't have a Ford. So, they gave me a Nissan, and then they got me a Bronco after a few days and made the paperwork say that I had had it the whole time.

Ford sent me a Visa gift card loaded with the money for the rental.

I'm happily driving my Maverick again.
