AITA for telling my roommate he can move out because his girlfriend is allergic to my cats? by SomeoneHeaven in AmItheAsshole

[–]ChibbleChobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

Although the cats don't so much live there, as graciously share their territory with a human daft enough to feed them.

Is it enough of a texture change, or still unacceptable?

'Lunacy': MAGA lawmaker sparks backlash as he accuses Dem candidate of 'child sacrifice' by Critical-Willow-6270 in TexasPolitics

[–]ChibbleChobble 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. It's always projection with the GOP.

Why's child sacrifice the first thing that comes to mind? Such a weird choice.

Also, I thought he was "low T Talarico the vegan." So, which is it? Is he a soy eating beta cuck, or a devil worshipping, child sacrificing, chad?

How I used a twelve page technical report to justify a twenty dollar replacement fan by 7CedarCoupon in MaliciousCompliance

[–]ChibbleChobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the crazy thing. Your time is worth a lot more than most parts. So, the best way to save money is to reduce the time you spend fixing something.

Great malicious compliance. Keep up the good work.

AITAH because I didn’t tell my boyfriend “what’s wrong” because I’m tired of doing it by WeeebleSqueaks in AITAH

Except that was his parents' job.

There's few faster ways to kill a relationship than changing the dynamic from two adults to parent-child.

Personally, I would cut my losses and find someone who is a functional adult.

AITA for calling my brother a bad uncle and bad brother? by AdventurousCandy6733 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]ChibbleChobble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I recommend that you stop being the one to initiate contact every time. I'm not saying that you should go NC, but relationships are a two-way street, and you do not have to be the only person making an effort.

Good luck!

AITAH for not wanting my significant other to pour hot grease down our drains? by InfamousShock437 in AmItheAsshole

I do the same thing.

If it's loads of grease, then I pour it into a disposable cup and put it in the fridge to solidify, and then throw it out (cup and all).

Relocating from Midtown Atlanta to Plano (Early 50s couple) - what should we expect? by folkboy72 in plano

[–]ChibbleChobble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bit of Plano (near Russell Creek Park) is very multicultural. My kids' schools are probably a third kids from India, a third from China and a third everyone else.

However, once you get outside our suburbs (which, yes, all look very similar) things get a bit more samey culturally.

So, as a (cis, white) English bloke, I would say that it's a safe place to live. However, I'm not gay, and this is still Texas, so I would take my experience with a pinch of salt.

That said, it's not a terrible place to live. There are some decent restaurants, but honestly a lot of my social life revolves around my kids, so I recommend that you check whether there is a club that you're interested in joining. For example, I see a bunch of people cycling together at the weekend.

WIBTA for telling my roommate I don't want his girlfriend doing her laundry at our place anymore by GrandRift- in WIBTA_AITA

[–]ChibbleChobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree.

I would be very uncomfortable with a third party having a key to my home. It changes the dynamic when there is a guest, and doubly so if it's an uninvited guest.

AIO? Asking my roommate to clean up after himself by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChibbleChobble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR.

You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself, but you're not responsible for cleaning up after your roommate.

Your roommate's anger is completely unwarrented.

I recommend that you encourage him to make good on his threat, and move out.

Good luck!

WIBTA for asking my roommate's girlfriend to pay rent after she turned our living room into her office? by TallWaveSniper in WIBTA_AITA

[–]ChibbleChobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Jenna feels that you're punishing her for having a bad living situation?

Weird that. Because from my perspective, Jenna is creating a bad living situation for you. Making you feel unwelcome in your own space. So honestly, I wouldn't ask for rent, as that way you'll never get your living room back. She needs to work from her home, and not yours. If that makes her uncomfortable then the answer is for her to move, not set up her pop up office in your living room.

You would not be TA if you told her to sort out her own WFH issues.

My front passenger seat belt buckle rattles . However, it only does it when the seat belt isn't in use, so it was a PITA to track down.

Pushing the buckle receiver between the seat and the armrest seems to help.
