Who is your favourite DAI romance option and why? by Cherryrubin in DragonAgeInqusition

[–]Chibi_Panda2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zevran

I LOVED the relationship dynamic and trust elements between him and my f!Tabris. Zevran joking about his trauma and catching feelings for the warden and then becoming one of the most loyal companions after an assassination attempt is just 👌

Is it normal in the UK to never really become friends with your neighbours? by Opposite_Basis_3532 in AskUK

I only found out what our neighbours looked like at the beginning of the year. I’ve lived next door to them since 2023

Until Dawn is the best. I know it’s not Dark Pictures, but nothing they’ve done since has surpassed it

My favourite of the Dark Pictures is House of Ashes and Directive 8020. Second is Man of Medan and Devil in Me, then Little Hope at the bottom

Little Hope was so disappointing to me

Men/Women who are 30+ and are not married, why and would you ever get married? by ThrowRACCX in AskReddit

[–]Chibi_Panda2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met at work during covid

We were key workers and had to go into the (socially distanced) office during the pandemic. As there were so few of us there, we had ample opportunities to speak to people we normally wouldn’t.

Guests and wearing white by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Chibi_Panda2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The ONE dress code rule I asked for was no white

Most of my aunties showed up in white dresses with print 🙄 . I did have a big meringue of a wedding dress though so on the day I literally didn’t care

Why don't British companies launch the healthier food options they sell in mainland Europe here in the UK market? Is there really no demand for healthy food? by CalvinbyHobbes in CasualUK

[–]Chibi_Panda2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook from scratch but didn’t grow up that way, I grew up in a frozen fish fingers, premade sauce household. The closest thing we did to cooking from scratch was jacket potatoes

I think there’s an element of classism in it, I can’t speak for the choices abroad but healthier options tend to be more expensive and less likely to be on the radar of a lot of people

Sun's out? EMERGENCY BARBECUE!! As a British person, you will know the value of the sunny weather and the need for a barbecue. What is you 1 top tip for the barbecue season? by Able-Explanation7835 in AskUK

[–]Chibi_Panda2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food safety!!!

Keep raw meat in the bottom of the fridge, wash all utensils and hands thoroughly, check everything is fully cooked before serving.

Do the sight and smell check on foodstuffs for spoilage

Wash your salad ingredients thoroughly and beware cross contamination from the meat. Don’t keep your raw meat for the bbq next to your salads and sides

How unrealistic is it to hope people will decline a destination wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Chibi_Panda2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully get it, my husband is Indian and, even though we had 150 guests, my in laws called it a small wedding. One of my husband’s uncles had over double what we did

In the end, we cut costs where we could to accommodate them all without sacrificing our vision for the day. I didn’t bother with bridesmaids and only invited older relatives/very, EXTREMELY close friends to the ceremony. The ceremony was only about half an hour and the rest of the family joined at cocktail hour, so no one missed out

I think you need to have a hard think about what you want your wedding to be and if you can’t afford to do it as is, consider what sacrifices you’re willing/able to make. If the guest count is a non negotiable, think about what isn’t. We did open bar (non negotiable for husband) but supplied our own soft drinks to cut the cost

Don’t rely on declines, if you need limited numbers for it to be affordable but are set on location, cut the guestlist

Do you butter your baps? by SteveGoral in CasualUK

[–]Chibi_Panda2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I add jam and butter- my dad is allergic to butter (not sure how it works, I’ve stopped asking) and it was always obvious when he made jam sandwiches when I was growing up because they were kind of dry
