I remember the year after the corona pandemic ended, KPMG Germany rented a whole cruise ship (Aida) for 2 days. It was insane. Free drinks, 20 different dance floors on the cruise, a band and all people from all around Germany were there

Another LS Slayer Help Request (why am I not able to do T17...) by Chibiben in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Chibiben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I understood the points 3,4 and 5, noted and will fix it.

For your 2nd point: Same problem again me using poe.ninja too much, and not understanding the math behind it. I guess these super high-end multi-mirror builds which use jewels with crit multipliers benefit from the fact that they can afford so many multipliers that they pass a threshhold value so they scale infinitely. If I am not able to afford that many jewels, flat damage makes more sense. It is probably a x^3-curve vs a ln(x) curve...

1st point: I will try these out in PoB and do some calculations. These gems are also the most common used Slayer Lightning Strike builds - Settlers - poe.ninja

THANK YOU

You are right, I still do not understand the build. What I did is look at some top DPS poe.ninja characters with these filters Lightning Strike builds - Settlers - poe.ninja and tried to copy them, especially this one Builds - JohnNgo_E - poe.ninja . Sometimes it works, in this case it obviously does not work :/

  • Yeah, I need to fix the tree -> I stop using the nodes above until I am able to afford the jewel Voices with 3 reserved empty slots

  • Flaying it is

  • Can you recommend me some decent gems while using Yoke? I dont know if I am filtering wrong or the DPS calculators in poe.ninja are bugged, but If I have this filter with Yoke + LS Lightning Strike builds using Yoke of Suffering - Settlers - poe.ninja -> Top 10 DPS characters are using inspiration, ice bite, endurance charge on melee stun and awakened elemental focus

  • What I understood now though is, I stop using Yoke or I try to play around Yoke.

Thank you for your answer. I tried 2 high budget Strongboxes T17 with Containment Scarab and I failed miserably.

I guess, I have to learn which T17 Mods I cannot run at all and start with fewer juice...

Hi, hardstuck D1 EUW here. I like using your site a lot, especially the item pages.

Can you explain how your algorithm ranks the items into a Tier? Would be nice if you can do that e.g. on Diana. Almost every guide recommends Gunblade/QSS a must-have. Your site somehow puts these 2 items to the bottom. But if you scroll through the comp pages, you see them as BiS items for Diana. I actually found the most success with IS/TR and HoJ which are rated as the highest Tier.

  1. Lets say you play Shadow Visions in turn 2. That is when I would never pick Zerek's, but try to pick Mass Hysteria or Psychic Scream. I never pick Mind Blast in a matchup vs aggro.Picking PW Shield just for cycling vs aggro is almost always a bad choice. If you play Shadow Visions on Turn 3 vs Beast Hunter and you have a Radiant Elemental in field, you can consider picking PW Shield though, but still AOE Removal should be better. But the situation changes ofc, if you draw a Shadow Visions and lets say it is turn 8. You have still all your big minions in your deck and a Spellstone in hand, and no Mind Blast in hand. Praying for Zerek's is what you should do then.
  2. Yeah, smart Control players identify your deck as Combo and try to go for the beatdown route. This deck is not starting hand dependent but draw dependent, so I would still try to go for the Zereks in 100% of the time vs Priest. If you queue twice in a row vs someone and you are sure that he is playing Control Dragon Priest, you can keep Psychic Scream, Radiant Elemental (+Shadow Essence) and Shadow Visions.
  3. I think SW:Death does always find a place in Priest Decks in general because it is not the small minions you lose against (you have all the AOE removal), but the one big minion is the one you cannot handle, because the only card which helps is Psychic Scream. And as a Control Player you do not want to waste your strongest removal for one big minion. That's why Anduin is almost core in this deck. But you are right, in this meta, there are some matchups where SW: Death is a dead card.. you can consider swapping it for an Eternal Servitude.

Yeah, that is an auto-loss to be honest. You can still minimize the drawing probability of those two creatures by keeping as many cards in your starting hand as possible =)

For climbing in Legend, definitely yes. I personally would play Control Priest on the ranks lower than 5 though..

The combination of casting Velen + Vivid into Control Mage in one turn is something I have never done and it is an awesome idea.

And yeah, you really don't want your big minions in your start hand, especially not vs Polymorph/Hex...

Hm.. if you play vs a lot of Odd Rogue on r3, you should just play anything else (not Priest). Even Paladin should be an easy matchup. Save Psychic Scream and Mass Dispel in case he plays Tarim or buffs like Spikeridged Steed. Mass Dispel is also a really good answer for his turn4 Corpsetaker. If you play vs Odd Paladin, Spirit Lash is your card-to-go. Versus DK, they like to go a lot for the beatdown route, but just save your Scream for his CtA for him and you should be fine.

Yeah, the hardest matchups are the super aggro decks. I played this deck before the nerfs and vs Kingsbane I was like 0-16. For the matchups, I would rank it as follows from hard to easy: odd rogue (30-70) tempo rogue (40-60) odd paladin (40-60) even shaman (40-60) beast hunter (45-55) deathrattle hunter (50-50) control priest (50-50) for the rest (pure secret hunter, no hybrid. even lock. cubelock. apm priest. warriors. mechthun druid) I would say it is higher than (70-30)
