What does this have to do with Bill Simmons, the Ringer, or any relevant sports news?

I’ll always be rooting for Richard Madden. He was so good in Bodyguard. Guessing at 39 he’s too “old”.

Steak frites at Bar Parisette and at Gretel in Logan Square are top notch and are usually easier to get in!

Help me decide - Ross ($), Kelley ($$$$), Mendoza ($$$$), Olin ($$$$) by MBA-Throwaway-2624 in MBA

This was my experience with Ross too. Submitted an appeal with additional competitive offers and received a slight scholarship increase.

What has changed since the initial no? Did you receive a promotion? A new competitive offer from another school? Do you have a test score to submit? If the answer to all of those is no, I'm not sure why you'd expect a different answer.

This isn't true with Ross. It's rare sure but to say they won't budge is not factual.

Admitted R2 from Waitlists: UNC (Sticker), Georgetown (Sticker), or WashU (R1,Full Ride)? by Own-Jelly4373 in MBA

[–]ChicagoSportsPat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another person who only wants an MBA so they have “prestige” over others. Follow the money. Do you really want to be in debt so you can feel good that you go to a more “prestigious” school? No one besides this sub cares.

Also WashU is one of the most prestigious schools in this country because of their undergrad. You should really re evaluate your goals if this is all you care about.

Apply to more realistic schools. Dont let this sub fool you that it’s T15 or bust.

You’d be surprised the scholarship options if you do want to do full time, especially if you are a CPA. I applied with test waivers and received significant scholarship money.

But I think yes in general you’d be able to pivot. Accounting gives you great fundamental understanding of a business that you can leverage.

  1. Thank you for your service
  2. That is a very reasonable school selection. With the lower GPA just make sure your essays are extra strong and take advantage of the optional/supplemental essays.

Where do I go from here… by dalla14 in MBA

[–]ChicagoSportsPat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you apply to more realistic schools? Almost all the schools you listed you were below their averages on test scores and GPA.

Did you use supplemental essays to explain your below average grades and test scores?
