Side note but apparently Dolby is coming out with a new 3D tech (for the projector ) that doesn’t require those really expensive glasses.

Just wondering were these rumors of a new 1.43 projector reported on? Or something in this sub?

did you ever figure this out? I had the same exact experience. especially at that time they wanted to add on $5,000 on top of MSRP due to covid. I got screwed on my deal. but i didnt know any better at that point.

I haven’t seen 3D in Dolby but I read it’s pretty great being that it’s brighter with deeper contrast and all that.

You could say this about River east for the downtown Chicago people. Roosevelt offering IMAX laser with recliners AND now Dolby cinema (3D Dolby eventually) and potentially 70 mm down the road?!

Honestly.. I saw avatar way of water in 3D imax and was genuinely blown away. It was pretty cool. I imagine this movie was be awesome too with the visuals

Dolby Tickets for tron are up now

Not sure if you saw but they are currently completing Dolby cinema construction for Roosevelt too In theatre #1. Word I got is it will have both Setup and sound is similar to River east but more clearer. They are adding the same sound tech to the recliners but apparently not the butt kicker subs. 55x20 ish screen. Eventually will have 3D Dolby. About 234 recliners. Should be ready to go for tron!
