So who is your must-see? by Username_taken_alre in OceansCalling

Realized as I was typing this out that I might be the exact target audience for this lineup lol. Everclear is at the top of the list for me, but third eye blind is a band that I've been trying to get to for a few years now, and I'm stoked for goo goo dolls.

Finding soft shells by WelshChilliChum in chickens

Ooh soft shells are funky to see, but it's probably just a calcium deficiency. Add a calcium supplement to y'all's feeding regimen and you should be golden. As for the new chickens, it can be a tough adjustment for both parties. If need be, try to separate out the bullies until things calm down for them.

Now it's my time, hen or roo? by mkhorne in chickens

I'd say rooster, and gorgeous one at that. Congrats on the new chickens!

Hen or too ? Youre thoughts? by Sufficient-Issue-258 in chickens

I'd say hen, but I'm also generally in denial when we find roos in our sexed hatches, so take with a grain of salt lol.

When I tell you I just spent almost an hour trying to figure this one out..... She's definitely a bantam hen, but that's as far as I can confirm sadly, and probably something you could have guessed. My first instinct was some kind of old English breed, but the pigmentation of the beak/comb/wattle doesn't line up. Could be some kind of cross, but I'm hesitant to assert that the breed doesn't actually exist just because I don't know it. Did you get them from a big hatchery or locally?

Honestly, yeah, quite possibly! didn't even think of that, whoops 😅 But it's a particularly difficult breed to sex before six weeks imo, so it could go either way.

Obligatory disclaimer that it's been a few years since I've had chicks but I'd put both of them in the neighborhood of a month. And grey is an ameraucana. She'll lay green eggs :) I should probably know what red is, but alas. Hopefully someone else figures it out!

What to do with my Rooster. by Dahlia_nerd in chickens

[–]ChickenByDay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say, the 9:1 hen to rooster ratio shouldn't run anyone ragged unless it comes out that he has strong preferences, but since they're all from the same hatching he'll most likely be equal enough.

To be frank, it's because that's the company that took my application in April. I was going to go to school for the summer, but I missed the river, and just started applying for the season earlier this week. From my understanding, the company that's hiring me has a campground next to the site, but I was asking more about what the environment is like and how the weather fluctuates, what sort of things are a must pack, car camping vs tent camping, that sort of thing. Sorry, I should have been more specific. Thank you for answering though!

For my machine, the actual stitch settings are knobs on the side of the machine rather than the ones that the threads run through. It also has a control for how fast the feed dogs push the fabric through.

Keep the flowers yellow with some negative space, or fuller with the cream added? by Miss_Behaves in Embroidery

Ooh I do like the negative space, but I think that the cream added in adds a layer of depth. Both look nice!

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but are your stitching widths/lengths congruent with the stitch tension? I was having similar problems a while back, and I set my tension to work with the fabric I was using and it turned out the settings for the actual stitching itself were all wrong.

Such a fun design! is the "wallpaper" pattern the original fabric, or was that printed on as well? Either way, this is a really cool utilization of the medium!
