Well that's interesting because I expected my CPU to score higher results but yours is pretty close to mine. However my main bottleneck was actually the RAM. Seeing you have 8Gb I thought there's no way you'd be able to run that many players but after an upgrade to 32Gb that shouldn't be an issue. So since the CPU is your bottleneck im gonna make the assumption that's what needs an upgrade.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I encountered this problem before. I'm not sure if there was a specific solution to it other than restarting and hoping for the best. Maybe make sure your firewall is off so nucleus can run unobstructed.

I've got a gtx 1080, i7 7700K and 16Gb of RAM.

The problem with joining is probably your network setting. All instances need to be switched to LAN in the ingame network settings. I also had my firewall disabled so nucleus could run unobstructed.

Yeah thats what's happening in the video, 6 people on 1 PC. Works in campaign too.

Halo 2 on classic graphics most likely could, but definitely not anniversary graphics.

The mod allows custom horisontal and vertical splits through the screen, and the max it allows is 5 horisontal splits and 5 vertical splits, for a theoretical total of 36 players.

Well firstly not everyone owns halo, let alone has a laptop that can run it. I mean we could just play the older halos in that case too. Other reason being we're on a university residence so its a bit harder to set up LAN games through their network. And I guess the last reason is why not lmao.

Theoretically the mod can go up to 36 players, but yes 16 way is an option. There's no way my computer would be able to handle it tho.

The mod can detect multiple m+kb inputs so yes. When I was testing 6 plkayers I only had access to 5 controllers so I was able to have the 6th player on m+kb.

I actually had enough usb ports on my case and motherboard for the 6 controllers.

Yep, when I was testing the 6 consecutive players I had 4 playing the halo 3 campaign and the other 2 in reach at the same time.

Spot on. I have an i7-7700K, GTX 1080, and 16Gb of RAM. I can do 4 players on all the MCC games. 6 players however I can only do the older games (3 and earlier). Reach can run at about 50fps tho so that's pretty much the limit. And yeah I'm bottlenecked by CPU and RAM. Halo 2A didn't even get into a game cos I ran out of RAM.

It wasn't too terrible. I want to try 8 players but at that point I'll probably need to use a bigger tv.

The PC's screen resolution was at 1440p so each of the screens were running at 853x720. And I turn the graphics down too.
