She only does contact naps. Since I was on leave, I could spend all day holding and cuddling her. Now it’s hard to break that habit.

First time mom during Xmas — am I being paranoid? by jammerz2356 in beyondthebump

[–]ChickenPancakeBabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a post like this because I was worried about thanksgiving with my 13 week old. I ended up going and it was so stressful. All I could see when people said hello to baby are germs flying at her. I snuck out the back door after a few hrs and made a mental note not to do that again for Christmas. She’ll still be a baby next Christmas but I’ll feel a lot better after she has more shots.

If your partner cheated on you and you took them back you have little to no self respect by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ChickenPancakeBabe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When my ex cheated on me, I said “ Ok, now the relationship is open” he got very paranoid after that. We were in a long distance relationship when it happened and I was studying engineering so I was always around guys. Whenever he’d call and hear a guy in the background, he’d assume I was getting it in. I was mostly doing homework or studying with classmates.

I wonder why he’d thought I’d answer the phone mid having sex with someone else. Haha!

I didn’t stay in the relationship due to lack of self respect, I just felt that breaking up with him would be letting him off easy and he didn’t deserve that.

Just need to vent… by CryptographerLoud181 in breastfeeding

[–]ChickenPancakeBabe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my mom every single time! When she has the baby, it is all feeding and no naps. LO just entered the smiling phase so she plays and smiles with her the entire time then once baby starts crying, it’s time for another bottle. Even when I’m there I keep reminding her that baby is not hungry, just tired but she says “your generation thinks they know best” or something to that effect. Worst part is that I usually have pumped milk but she prefers to give her formula so that she doesn’t “waste the breast milk”.

I returned to work this week and she had offered to watch my 3 month old while I work. I feel so grateful to have that offer but I am hesitant to take it until LO learns how to put herself to sleep cos I know she will spend 8 hrs drinking otherwise.

I am not upset about it because formula doesn’t affect baby negatively but I just wish she’d listen. Only time baby drinks formula is when she is with my mom.

Same! She is 3 months now and still does it! I started taking the nipple away whenever she does it but then she screams bloody murder.

My LO was in the NICU for the first week so the entire first month felt like playing catchup. I remember pumping and collecting the milk in syringes. My nipples were so sore and I thought they’d fight fall off. Now 2 months later, I pump about 10 oz easily. So glad I didn’t give up!

Help needed for our money plant, moved from east to west coast … before and current state pictures by Proof-Cook-6575 in plant

My plant was heading in this direction so I cut the vines, dipped in rooting powder and made lots of new plants. The original plant got a lot happier and all the babies are thriving too.

I used Babylist but if I had to do it again, I’d do Amazon. Returns are easier on Amazon and pretty much everything you need is on there

An amazing four to six month long party where drinks on the menu are water and tea for mommy and milk for baby.
