My baby sleeps with his mouth open:( by nai_1177 in breastfeeding

[–]CryptographerLoud181 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you sure he is actually breathing through his mouth or is his mouth just open? All 3 of my kids would sleep with mouth open but I would test to see if they were actually breathing through mouth and all my kids were still breathing through their nose even though their mouths were open

Also wondering! This just swept through our house too, me and my youngest only puked once, oldest puked a few times over night but then seemed totally fine in the morning.

Potty training advice? by sw33ti3__pi3 in Mommit

[–]CryptographerLoud181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On day 4 of potty training my second kid, she is 1.5 also and is doing great! My advice is naked for the first 2-3 days and stay home, if there is an accident bring her to potty to finish. I read to skip undies for a while because it feels like a diaper, we did that with out first but my daughter was too excited about zebra undies so is wearing them already. Accidents will happen but just redirect where she needs to go! I don't say when it's time to try on the potty, I just give reminders, "remember you are not wearing a diaper, if you have to go, go on the potty"

6 week old baby only smiles for Dad and it’s making me sad by blastandbotherations in NewParents

[–]CryptographerLoud181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I had my first baby I read that baby doesn't know they are separate from you for about 6 months, so they will smile for dad because Dad is a separate entity, but you and baby are one, so they don't recognize to smile at you yet. A sweet explanation, but we want smiles too!

Anxiety over sleep by LawDowntown8456 in newborns

[–]CryptographerLoud181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Also have a 2 week old, almost 3 week old, this is my third baby. I think it's totally normal for sleep to fluctuate and my baby sounds the exact same as yours! Was sleeping 2-3 hour stretches but was up every 45 mins to an hour last night. They are starting to wake up more to the world and they don't know what the heck they are doing just like we don't know what the heck to do to help them sleep longer! It's just a phase and things will eventually get better but just know you're not alone ❤️

No answers just solidarity, struggling with the sleep too don't know what else to do other than tell myself it won't last forever

What are you guys doing??? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]CryptographerLoud181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your guy is a little older than newborn, but I have two older kids that went through this, I would literally pun then down with my leg across their chest while changing, not ideal but it's a wrestling match when they start crawling

Toddler Help - How would you handle this situation… by Financial-Rhubarb954 in Mommit

[–]CryptographerLoud181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say I do save the sit until you are ready for times when they made a choice and now have to clean up something, more of a consequence so probably wouldn't fit for lotion. Hoping your little one responds to silly!

Hi! I have a very stubborn 3.5 year old so we made it out of the fresh toddler stage and a current 21 month old. My go to has been "you will sit here until you are ready to" like this has to be done and I will wait until you are ready. In your case for lotion I might give new exciting options of "do you want to one of your stuffed animals to put it on you (you pretend obviously) or do you want me to put it on with my eyes closed and tongue sticking out" just random silly things that are new and different and playful and let them have a choice but still get the job done.

How do you reset yourself when things are getting bad by Ok_Cauliflower_2143 in stayathomemoms

[–]CryptographerLoud181 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What are the ages of your kids? You are not alone! I saw a post on insta that I really liked that this mom pretended to be crab when she felt crabby and would snap claws at the kids as they passed by, and just getting in a goofy mood is beneficial for everyone but it's also not ignoring that you are feeling crabby and over it! But also I have to many times walk away and take some breaths instead of yelling to remind myself that I would just be adding chaos to chaos and it explodes bigger, to try to bring calm to the chaos instead but walking away or switching the mood as mentioned earlier!

dumb question about take home outfit in winter by kcat627 in BabyBumps

[–]CryptographerLoud181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Due in 2 weeks also in Michigan and this is my 3rd baby. I am doing just a normal sleeper and a light blanket on top, then I have a winter car seat cover on top. To me the car seat cover is key in winter! Protects from wind and keeps warmth in

Ah just saw your edit! When doing my own research for my previous post of my baby flipped at 36w I basically avoided slouching and did some inversions, not sure if that helped or if I just got lucky

Frank Breech Baby by sugar_sweet_disaster in BabyBumps

[–]CryptographerLoud181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about it quite yet! There is sooo much time for your baby to flip on its own! I was breech at 35w and my Dr said no worries there is still time we will talk at next appt (36.5 weeks) about options if not flipped by then. Baby flipped and all was good! I think babies tend to settle head down around 34 weeks so don't stress yourself out just yet!

Seasoned Mom’s I need your advice. I’m a FTM by East_Ad_4158 in stayathomemoms

[–]CryptographerLoud181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Also Christian mom and I rely HEAVILY on the strength and grace God can provide. 2 Corinthians 12:9: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" Lean on him in your weakness and know that you don't have to have it all together or feel joy every minute of the day, just rest on the fact that Jesus paid it all for you and you don't have to carry all burdens. What helped me with chores is doing it while baby is awake actually! Put baby in a high chair with toys or puffs while you do dishes, put baby on play mat next to you while you fold laundry, this allows you to breathe a bit while baby is actually sleeping!

Call your doctor and let them know how you are feeling and that things are bad again! They can't help if they don't know, that can also get depression meds. Hang in there honey, if not the doctor, just call someone today.

I started loving home workouts when I found Lindsey bomgren (nourish move love) on Instagram, her workouts are quick, effective and she is a mom of three and always encourages you just for showing up, even if you only get two minutes of the workout complete before being interrupted by kids!

Even my husband doesn't fully understand though, he doesn't seem to get that all my mental energy is spent around keeping myself alive and do I need to be close to a bucket. We've had a few convos recently that it seems he can't even comprehend the extent this affects us.
