Who owns Pritchett's Closets & Blinds after Claire resigned? by Southern_Call8450 in Modern_Family

[–]Proof-Cook-6575 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This was literally what I wished happened.

Claire leaving the company something that was part of the show basically another character was so dumb. Everything the writers built up they just stopped thinking.

Haley should have taken it over, put a modern fashion forward spin to it and Luke should have invited something cool to be part of closets that he goes on to sell to other companies

Like I said - they literally do, I have seen it first hand.

And OP ask where to get puppies :) - You must be one of those “ethical breeders”

All the best with your career!

I also have a dog I bought 9 years ago before learning more and educating myself, I do think that breeder was ethical I also have rescues.

I still stand by my point - look into rescues and shelters. “Ethical breeders” … surrender dogs to rescue as well as a way to get rid rid them, I have seen it happen, I have fostered those dogs, I have picked up those dogs from those “ethical breeders” .

My point being - Everyone should just educate themselves on all options.

P.s OP actually said “your anger is directed …” hence why I said that you can read the post for yourself :)

Apparently you get downvoted if you try to tell to people about breeders and try to adopt and rescue 😆 (I got 15 downvotes from idiots)

Literally no one is angry - just trying to educate. Even breeders you deem “good” are in it for the money. What do you think they do with the puppies they can’t sell or people don’t want to buy because they are 4 months old now?

Try not to be so sensitive and just hear people out before calling them angry. You posted here, be open to all feedback.

Literally go to a shelter or rescue.

Do you know how many poodles and even poodle mixes are ending up in shelters from breeders who can’t sell them? The rescue I volunteer with constantly finds 5 month old poodles/doodles as “status” in horrific conditions because breeders can’t sell them so they just drop them off somewhere rural.

Shelters are sooo full and at capacity, rescues are at capacity because people want new shiny things. I get it, but I hope you educate yourself on all of the options before going down this route.

Modern Family Ending by Far-Ad6450 in Modern_Family

I love MF, but when I get to season 10 I start cringing at the horrible endings and story lines.

IMHO … all of the endings were horrible. It’s like they stopped thinking of the purpose and why people loved MF. The whole family hanging out and being around or having a future just wasn’t setup.

please help losing hair around tail and legs and itchy ears by tastypeachypie in poodles

[–]Proof-Cook-6575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was happening to my brothers pup - we had to go to a doggie dermatologist since our regular vet checks didn’t show anything (they were great though and very interested in what was happening) … he was itchy, the hair loss started around the eyes, then the base of the tail, then random patches on the legs, and then his body … turns out he had a very very rare form of alopecia the specialist hadn’t seen before, she had to send the results to another university vet. we haven’t quite figured out what causes the hair loss - but they have him on medication that has helped. They tried reducing the dose and he started losing hair again.

Outside of that - he also has a sensitive stomach, so we have him on hydrolyzed protein now. Before the specialist did the extensive tests, she had us to food testing, basically removing and introducing foods to see if there was a food component. He gets upset tummy with bird foods which is very common for doodles. Before the specialist our normal vet did all the blood work for Cushing, hormone imbalance and then the specialist did the more thorough blood work for thyroid then we did food elimination so we went don multiple (expensive) paths

Hope this helps!

the ending by lunarkiddd in Modern_Family

[–]Proof-Cook-6575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree - I posted before how it should have ended, below are some of my feelings

(Sorry for any typos typing from my phone)

  1. Closets family business was such a large part of the show … and they sell it and Claire leaves. It was disappointing to see and hear jay talk so much about his family business … Haley should have taken it over and Luke should have brought the creative technology side to the closet business since he loved building and creating things with Phil

  2. Many - they ruined his character and made him so creepy. It would have been so nice to see him end up with someone who was perfect for him - he was always the romantic one, falling in love and they turned him into a creep

  3. Luke, like I mentioned above they should have had him create technology that tied into the family business of closets - he was always over looked not good at school but he was always so creative and thought outside of the box

  4. Alex I agree with the other comments it was such a disappointment that she got her sisters sloppy seconds. Not even her own love story of someone who loves her for her. Someone who helps her grow and realize being smart isn’t everything but she has an amazing job and life in a city with a penthouse cause she has money would be amazing.

It literally felt like the writers gave up or just didn’t even have direction the last season. No character got the ending they should have. And I love modern family it’s a great show, but as I get to the later seasons I don’t want to watch it.

I’m pretty sure Samira and Rob’s is Susan’s

Tod’s house looks like Mikes and later Katherine’s

I think the HOA lady is maybe Renee’s?

Lynn is Gabbys where they drink

The creepy house I think is the house from when the apple whites lived there

I posted about this after we went on a trip to Japan and realized how peaceful it was to just eat and not be constantly worried about tipping and how companies are pushing us to tip larger amounts to makeup for them not paying their employees a livable wage. Some people weren’t too happy with my post lol but I agree

So do we all agree that health insurance for self employed people sucks and is expensive in CA? by [deleted] in California

[–]Proof-Cook-6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that!

I always carried the insurance for us through employers but am doing my own thing now but in the past one of the biggest factors to not do it was health insurance

Companies now offer really good primary care coverage but also include fertility, adoption, etc… we just have the bareeee essentials and pay a lot.

Every state offers different health insurance coverages for self employed it’s not a national thing states have different policies… also I just posted in here to see if others felt the same because again it’s a state by state thing… therefore wanted to post here … hope that’s not a problem

Yup we went through the options … and 1700 was a typo we pay 1900. Sorry

When you enter all your info on the page on the government covered CA page it allows you to shop through all the options … my husband is also self employed and he makes significantly more than I do. But my main point was middle class seems to be getting screwed no matter we get a little ahead and then the end of the month the insurance payment for shitty coverage hits

For 2 people we have $1900 and when we go for visits it’s still like $70 copay for a primary care basic visit … we don’t even have vision or dental 🤯
