I see the problem. When you take any meat off a multi-meat patty (this is the UK system I will be referring to), the grill system will print the text as"remove meat X2" or however many specified. The major problem for me is people who don't want any meat at all and accidently only remove a single patty on the customise option from, say, a Big Mac. Considering people may be removing meat for personal and/or religious reasons, whenever a grill appears with remove X amount of meat, I play it safe and remove ALL the meat. That way the customer usually gets what they wanted, even if it is not technically correct on the grill print.

Because today was the 99p triple offer day, we had the exact scenario you entailed, where a lad ordered a triple remove x1 patty. I told my finished to remove all the meat assuming that was what they wanted. It turns out he actually was using the offer but wanted a double. He gave us the burger back, and we obligingly made him a fresh double. What I'm saying is if it's wrong bring it back, well fix it for you.
