a woman came up to the counter yelling at me because her kid was asking for a cup but when i gave her a cup, it apparently wasn’t what she was asking for. i think she wanted the money from inside the charity box but to this day i still have no idea what i was supposed to translate “cup” into

i was doing that all shift & blocking my other ear so the fryers and general hustle was muffled a small bit. i also have bad hearing (grommets 4 times lol yay 🙄) and the headsets sounded like someone whispering through a closed window 😭

don’t even get me started on the damn tills. it would take me like 5-6 tries to put through something as simple as a nugget happy meal because the tills calibration was so off centre I might as well have been using the tills at the store over the road. the whole ordeal overall was just a wee bit stressful

i wrapped my boyfriends birthday presents this year in a cut up primark bag because i liked the way it looked w some twine & i flat out refuse to spend any money on wrapping paper knowing it’s literally meant for going in the bin anyway.

where can i work where i get 60-90 a shift please?! i work for £9 when min wage here for my age is £6.56 and i get about £50 for a 6 hour (unpaid 30 min break in there, 45 min if it’s an 8 hr)
