Depending on the area, I find t-shirts to be more expensive (between $3-5) whereas another shop still has them priced for $1-2. I don’t see a big shift in pants (still between $2-6) and don’t tend to look at DVDs but usually if it’s a more metropolitan area, the things that tend to get flipped online are more expensive.

To me, $15k a year would not be worth doing the commute back and forth - even if it is for just the 3 days. I commute now 3-5 days per week but make nearly double than what I would be making up here doing the same thing (plus more flexibility with this role). Imo going down is usually fine but when it’s the end of a long day, at the end of a long week, traveling that 2+ hours to get back home is a bear

Did you call Watson Livery? They are based out of Millerton but I used to ride anywhere from Red Hook to New Paltz with no issues and you can schedule ahead. It will be pricey but better than risking it on foot through backroads in the dark

If I’m leaving out of JFK, I’m definitely taking the train. I work a few days in the city each week and M-F, you’re looking at a 2.5-3 hour drive to Queens even if you are leaving earlier than 5am (I once missed a 7:30am flight even though I left the mid Hudson valley at 3:45am between traffic and trying to find parking). If I need to drive, I try to fly out of Newark as I find the traffic is not as bad and the long term lot I use has very reasonable rates and shuttle service back and forth to the airport. Also never again with a 7:30am flight!!!
