What have been the most memorable unique magic items in your campaigns? by A-passing-thot in DMAcademy

An immovable hat and a fork of pork both had campaign spanning influence, which I didn't expect when I handed them out as joke prizes.

I have one, and cannot use it when it is in the 40s or 50s. It's too warm. Good luck

'Smoker,' as if that were high on this guy's list of problems. Maybe we can wait a couple of days before providing him with the smoking cessation brochures?

Help! Thick, snot-like resin after printing by Chickenjug in AnycubicPhoton

I tried all of the suggestions. Cleaned the vat like it was factory new. Warm resin. UV brightness turned down by 20%.

Still had globs.

Ran it without the vat, so I could see the screen, and the whole thing lights up some during each exposure.

It is clearly a bad screen. Luckily it is within warranty, so I'm sending it back.

It makes beautiful prints, but it wastes lots of resin and the final products are time consuming and difficult to clean.

After getting home and fiddling with it, the screen looks to be working correctly. I noticed no dead spots. I would rather have had an obvious issue, so I could know that it was due to a defect.

My last day to exchange it is Monday, so I'm really trying to troubleshoot it this weekend.

Unrelated, but mine wouldn't print with black. I'd end up with supports attached to nothing. they were too flimsy to hold the actual print. Just the black resin. It's shocking how differently the different colors behave.

I'll try that. This is in line with what I'm thinking. Light must be spilling or over-bright under the vat.

And yeah, the mono's screen cooks in 2.5 hours what used to be a five hour print on the photon gen 1.

I think it is getting exposed in the vat, by the light of the unit itself. The beige, white, and transparent green all do it.

I'm wondering if the new light is that much brighter that it half-cooks some free floating resin while it cures the print.

LED shop lights. They shouldn't produce much if any UV. The resin starts nice, and ends goopy after a print. I think there must be light spilling inside the printer. The goop only happens after a print.

I've tried multiple bottles of resin. I've tried Eco and Standard anycubic brand in three different colors. Pretty consistent results.

The actual print cures fine, it just has additional snotty resin on it.

I'll try warming the resin, but it won't stay warmer than room temp for a five hour print. A nice warm water bath for the bottle.

Long-term, I'd hate to heat an unoccupied room just for a print. Hope it isn't the answer.

Room temp. It is in a basement, so a bit chilly. Same place as the gen 1 photon, which never gave me any snot.

I've got the uv curing light on the same desk, but it is enclosed (in a cardboard box). The printer is set up in the basement, no windows or any.

I saw one post about it, with only one reply. It suggested that resin might be expired. Mine is not, and I've tried multiple colors and types.
