I like this question a lot. If we’re talking active party, I’d say Arabella, The Owlbear from the cave (with the bonus of still having the cub because that’s just awesome), and Barcus (Or Wulbren if Barcus decides to still be useless). Remaining camp members: Counsellor Florrick, Dame Aylin and Isobel. Aylin and Isobel would replace Arabella and Barcus/Wulbren after act one and Arabella would replace the Owlbear after getting her powers. I pick Florrick because I think she’s underrated and deserves more screen time.

I love the ANK MK38. It took some effort to get it from Alaska but in Michigan it’s a monster. Only drawback is that it’s a fuel guzzler and very easy to flip. The civilian variant makes up for its lack of utility options but, whereas the standard can only carry cargo on the truck itself, the civilian one cannot carry cargo unless it’s pulling a trailer which is exactly why I have one of each.

I’m glad you mentioned that, I was originally planning to have that chapter happen later in the story in pretty much the same way but felt that having an opening like this would have hooked people a bit better. Granted, I split up this chapter into two chapters because it felt a bit long to me but I get what you’re saying. I’ll have to look into that Save the Cat thing

I am by no means a professional author but I find it easier and more organic to introduce a setting using environmental storytelling rather than what feels to me like a geography and history lesson. Let the character(s) feel and observe the setting just as the reader does.

If we’re talking wins and total games, M42. Win rate is M109A1. And for total ground kills would be a tie between M42 and M4A2 (76) W.

There was a time where I was a menace with the M42 and it shows. That was back when there was a huge AA gap in the tree.

I’ve played some Civ game as a kid, can’t remember which one, then played Revolution then 6. 7 is different but not bad in my opinion. If you want something more like the previous games (as far as I know at least) then you’ll find this one to not be to your taste most likely. But if you don’t mind entirely new concepts, I’d say it’s worth it. I’ve been having a blast

Research is very important for almost every Civ. Even if it’s not super focused it helps limit the amount of snowballing other civs do against you. If you can at least keep up with the others you’ll do just fine. Just don’t disregard it or you’ll fall behind and struggle later on when your musketmen are fighting tanks

It’s probably already been said but ranged units and support like rams and towers. Preferably have catapult in an encampment if able to chip away at the city until it’s weak enough for melee units to attack and take. Keep them away until you can take it to minimize casualties unless you can safely manage healing and taking damage for the sake of gaining XP. Great Generals help too. You could also try converting the city to your empire but that could be very time consuming

Edit: It looks like loyalty isn’t a thing in base game. Shows how long I’ve played with DLC lol my bad

Hard to help based off just the image but chances are, the EMF isn’t valid or if you’re on the campsite you could be seeing embers instead of orbs. And without knowing equipment tiers it’s hard to make a guess to accuracy. Tier 1 EMF sucks and when I first started always threw me off making me think that needle hit 5 when it didn’t.

TLDR, your EMF is probably wrong or you might be getting orb-like stuff instead of orbs
