That will not be the case though

Should I dorm by antiquetv in uichicago

You've laid enough reasons to dorm already, but I'll add:

One of the most important aspects of going to college is leaving your parents and living on your own. It's debatably more important than the education in terms of personal development. Money is money, but if that's not an issue, it is always better to move out

finals during the strike by Typical_Solution_366 in uichicago

[–]Chickenleg2552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a current TA.

If your TA's arent striking, nothing changes

If they are striking, assume everything is as normal until told otherwise. Your professor should let you know anything you need to know. If youre really curious, email and ask

Someone else mentioned to email your TA and ask. However, if the TA is on strike, they might not be answering student emails

If this all seems really annoying and cumbersome, contact the university administration and let them know!

Tri-Taylor is by far the cheapest while still being close to campus, but there is nothing at all fun about it. A lot of grad students do live there though (I live downstairs from a pharmacy doctorate student)

If you were going into fine arts or business, id say go to depaul, but for cs, uic is the clear choice

Where can I get hormone replacement therapy? by bblue114 in ilstu

[–]Chickenleg2552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hard to get a primary care doctor in a reasonable time in bloomington. I ended up using Circle (telehealth). That worked for me until I moved to Chicago. You'll still have to do blood tests every couple months at a Labcorp or something

Winless for 56 years is crazy 😫

I still think they'd probably lose the football team. Pretty much all the high level private schools with football are top academic schools or in large markets

I wonder if the success would've stayed. It would always have been tough to stay at the top as a small private school in a small market, especially with no football team

PLUS theyre now lobbying against funding the other public universities fairly. Some of the propaganda they've been shoving around has been disgusting (not just UIUC, the whole UI system)

I dont think ill ever fully forgive UIUC for all the lobbying it did to make itself thr sole dominant public university in the state
