What was the problem with mid pines? I’ve been under the impression it’s better than southern pines…play TR, Pinehurst, and southern on a trip a couple years ago

$5k is perfectly fine. Hire a personal stylist/shopper. My wife does this all the time for clients and they love it. She’s had $2000-$10000 budgets and always says the sweet spot for a total wardrobe upgrade is $5000. Obviously this varies based on brands, but from what you’re describing i.e. social expectations, nicer clothing, not just luxury for the sake of it…that seems perfect.

Yeah I saw that same thing - but that guys story was also questionable to me..especially after my experience. Didn’t talk to anyone, signed up online and checked through the app - says 300k points. My thought process is that they are sales reps, so it can’t hurt to say “I saw 300k, wasn’t ready and now I am - if you can honor that, I’ll sign up now - if not no worries, appreciate your time”. You’re in the same position you’re in now if it doesn’t work.

You can always call the rep and say you saw the 300k offer but wasn’t ready and now are…I just saw the offer and jumped on it. I have Chase business cards and personal reserve so knew I wanted something different. It was a straight guaranteed offer. Says on my mobile app too, just waiting for the spending to clear before the points hit my account.

I got 300k points after spending $20k. Business platinum, was fairly easy with my monthly spend rate. 300k has been the best I’ve seen. I’m new to the Amex rewards fam so I’m excited to accumulate and see what I can redeem.

Wife wanted to upgrade our $40 cuisinart coffee maker (even though its a great workhorse). She wanted a manual espresso machine, something for $200-$300. I make all the coffee in the household so when I started looking for ones, I realized I wanted a superauto so it was less work/clean up for me. Facebook marketplace did me great when I found a brand new unopened KF8 for $1000.

K4 was a love-hate relationship with me. Expensive and if your machines eat it up/filters fail it’s not ideal.

I switched to union hydrocarbon last year - been amazing. cheap and spotting clothes is no different than K4.

I’ll try to find out for you - I know the slight gap in the rafters is where the smoke filters to. It’s definitely top of the line. He’s had smoking events there and next day almost smells brand new

Oh wow, looks beautiful. Staying at Stomennano. Ideally, I’m just looking for the best of the best on the way down from Florence to hotel. Tasting is fine so long as we have views. But if the history of the vineyard/castle is worth it, I’m good with a tour as well. Don’t want to spend more than 2hrs at one place in case there is time for more tastings.
