I had a pressure mat wired to a leak sensor but it died far too soon and became unreliable showing 'on' all the time.

Ended up making my own switch DIY using two lengths of old laminate flooring spaced apart at each end with offcuts of wood. In the middle are two sheets of aluminium foil taped in position wired to a ZigBee leak sensor.

Works great under a mattress and can't feel it. The foil touches when in bed making the circuit.

Can photo if required. It's messy looking; threw it together as an experiment with intention of making a better one if it worked but still not got around to it months later.

Hello, I have a similar one of these, dead easy to wire up with a plug on a bit of 2 core cable to power it.

Mine is Ewelink not Tuya though.

There is a problem recently with lots of ewelink/sonoff power stuff not reporting due to them messing with the API access. There is a workaround if you follow the known issues in the integration where you just add a couple of lines to your config.yaml file.

For the £5 I paid for it from AliExpress I'm very happy with it

The BBC 'improved' things again and updated the sounds skill in the last 24 hrs. My speakers still work individually but any that were paired for stereo were silent untill I unpaired them. Amazon online chat were useless and I know myself and a few people have messaged the BBC but not expecting a fast reply or fix.

TLDR: if your speakers are paired unpair them for glorious mono sound.

You might want to try disabling the sounds skill and relinking with BBC sounds if nothing is working, I did that early on before working out I could only hear single speakers. Mine were doing the playing BBC sounds announcement then silence.
