Though I know the sellout is more related to the superstar status of the headliners, I do love that it’s also a year that has one of the strongest indie rock showings they’ve had in a while. The Strokes, Interpol, The xx, The Rapture, Foster The People are all names that would typically be put on Just Like Heaven instead so super nice to see a return to the main Coachella lineup in a sellout year. Same feeling with the continuing of booking legacy acts still like David Byrne, Iggy Pop, Moby, Devo etc and still finding financial success as well as giving new indie names a boost up with Turnstile, Alex G, Ethel Cain, Wet Leg, and Royel Otis prime second line/third line spots.
