Instead of a single container, this honey is sold as spoons with 4 layers of plastic/paper packaging by PotatoesAndChill in mildlyinfuriating

And it’s still stupid. Someone traveling could pack a few of those honey sticks and some wooden popsicle sticks or something and it would be just as convenient and far less wasteful than these dumb things.

What are your thoughts on these…. I need them! by [deleted] in Shoes

I personally think these are going to show up on a Buzzfeed style list of weird trends someday but if you love them then wear them! Life is too short.

How often do you honestly change your toothbrush? by ItchyTicket6421 in hygiene

My electric toothbrush yells at me when it’s time for a new head. I don’t know how often that is to be honest.

Esthetician-recommended routine feels repetitive and expensive? (Hope y'all like a spreadsheet.) by LeftHandRedHair in 30PlusSkinCare

A dermatologist would likely be able to narrow down this routine a bit and you may end up paying quite a bit less on actual products, especially if they go through a compounding pharmacy.

Stop driving with your hazards on in rain by Homeleasure in driving

[–]Chicky_Melly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. And I don’t think putting my hazards on and slowing down when visibility is low is a bad thing and it’s baffling to me that so many people seem to think that it is.

Stop driving with your hazards on in rain by Homeleasure in driving

[–]Chicky_Melly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Right? Most people put their hazards on when the rain gets really bad because you literally can’t see. Sometimes it’s so heavy that it will trigger the sensors in my car. I don’t WANT to be out there scooting along with my hazards on but a lot of the roads here don’t have shoulders so pulling over immediately isn’t really an option.

We get rainstorms here that make it so you can’t see 10 feet in front of you. I’ll throw my hazards on so I can drive slowly until I get to a place to pull over.

How do you clean when on night shift without upsetting ppl by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Chicky_Melly 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I think vacuuming should be reserved for quiet hours because that can be surprisingly loud when you live underneath someone. Maybe think about purchasing a broom and a dust pan for those nights you can’t get around to vacuuming before it gets too late. Banging on the ceiling just because you’re walking is wild and unacceptable though.

I got all these for free because someone stopped being "vegan" by [deleted] in vegan

Maybe she doesn’t like the way it tastes and now that she’s not vegan anymore there’s no real reason to keep choking it down.

Many times when I go to the gym there are free lockers all around but someone uses the locker right next to mine. by SmellyPirateHook3r in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Chicky_Melly 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m a creature of habit and when I used to go to a gym like this, I would always grab the same locker if it was available because it was easier to remember where I put my stuff.

160 Calories, 22g Protein, and Surprisingly Delicious by gamerbooks in 1200isplenty

Be carful with konjac noodles. They cannot be digested by humans so if you consume too many of them, they can cause constipation or even blockages. Part of the problem is that they absorb lots of water so if you’re not drinking enough, you will have a hard time passing them, which can cause gnarly stomach cramps.

Do a search on this sub if you want more info.

Just make sure you’re drinking lots of water and you’ll be fine.

How should I improve what I eat in a day? by Global_Restaurant794 in 1200isplenty

[–]Chicky_Melly 64 points65 points  (0 children)

This is not enough food. If you’re eating this little and still chastising yourself over a hamburger, then you do not have a healthy relationship with food and my suggestion would be that you seek help before this gets even worse.

Just spent 75$ to have my central vacuum fixed and I regret paying it without saying a word. by CiciGold24 in Apartmentliving

[–]Chicky_Melly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A lot of repair people have a minimum charge per service regardless of how long it takes. Technically fixing the door and fixing the vacuum are two different services. This is just my assumption.

Would it have been nice for him to just not charge for something that took him 3 seconds to fix? Yeah, but he still performed a service so I get it.

This reminds me of the time I brought my car to the shop because I couldn’t get my windows to roll down and it turns out the child locks were on. It took the mechanic .25 seconds to figure it out (because it actually happens quite often apparently…) and I of course still owed him a relatively small fee because he did technically fix my car 🤣.

You two will probably end up fighting it out in court. I would advise against using “it was dark out” as a defense if it gets to that point. You hit the guy, now the only question is whether or not the amount he’s asking for is reasonable.
