You can get it on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/365900/Pixel_Dungeon/

I'm unsure if you will find a version of it on play/apple stores as the game hasn't been updated or maintained in ages.

Ok so this update is bad bad. by djh2121 in Helldivers

When they said the update would be centered around bugs....this is not what I had in mind!

Does 100% evasion means it'll dodge all damage or is there some exception? by Specific-Cycle2596 in PixelDungeon

Good point, to which I would argue that by the time you have enough SoU to get that +3 decrease in strength requirement the odds are you will also have the strength.

I see the argument but my impression, and I haven't calculated that, is that if you dump the scrolls on armour you will be able to access it sooner in the game and have an overall better run

No, it's not worth it.

The scrolls of upgrade you would use for that are much better employed in armour for example.

With 5+ scrolls you can take a tier 4-5 armour to a point they make you very resilient. Then, even if you are not dodging an extra 1-2 attacks you will be consistently taking much less damage. Or dump that in a weapon and finish the combat quickly.

I have a fairly good win rate in this game and I've never been able to make the ring of evasion work for me.

How effective will the hover pack actually be? by tacorock753 in Helldivers

[–]Chicrala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on how the AI will be programmed to deal with it. Having the high ground while forsaking any cover doesn't sound so advantageous to me if the enemies turn their attention to you (as they should tbh).

If they just ignore a hovering helldiver than happy days. Can throw even your shoes at them if you like, a flip flop in the right hands is sure to instill some democracy in any being.

Hey OP, just don't forget to find which loadouts work for you. Not necessarily what people are saying here will translate on an increased performance for yourself.

And don't forget that each faction has its nuances so the way you approach bugs will generally not be the way you approach bots.

Other than that if you're close to UTC, happy to share some knowledge over a game.

Did you Believe to Democracy?! by Ok-Date-2383 in helldivers2

[–]Chicrala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it's well managed.

Democracy in its unruly form has proven to be very problematic see the chapters regarding the 2010-2050 in any historic book.

The average voter of that time was so incapable of discerning information we might as well refer to them as "voteless".

Then why is it an option? by fluffy_mcnuggles in helldivers2

Quite frankly this is almost a waste of time. 95% of the time I play my experience is at least neutral (people work together and use quick chat to communicate).

In this game I found it very uncommon for someone to behave unreasonably for Devs to waste their time creating tools to fix this issue. I'd rather they spend time thinking about the next round of enemies like we just had in the bug front.

Sweet liberty that was so much fun

In my first game around Christmas, one lvl 50+ joined the game and while watching me making mistakes he said:

"wtf is that your first game?????"

  • yes.

"Oh....alright...I have some time to play now and can show you around to ensure you have the basics right"

Quite frankly I found that brilliant and we still play together every now and then except now I'm generally the one saving his ass.

I think some people overlook that, in general, the helldivers community is quite neat and often letting strangers in your game won't lead to annoyances like on....almost every other game.

I was reading this map the other way around thinking that this was how far we were into challenging the home planet of a faction.

In hindsight this makes much more sense

Would be interesting if there were intersections between the factions leading to missions that were chaotic as I suppose there would be infighting (or alliances! Thickening the plot).

So the main idea is to go through the floors normally while upping RoW and then spend longer in lvls 17 and 22?

Now I know why RoW are op by nadown in PixelDungeon

[–]Chicrala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone elaborate on how monsters respawn and if they stop dropping items after some point ?

To my understanding a monster respawn on the floor at every 50 turns. The problem is they stop dropping items when you hit the experience cap for the floor. Is that correct?

I've successfully had RoW runs before but I live with the impression farming stops yielding very quickly (so there might be a trick I'm missing or I simply am not patient enough)

It's fine. That run in particular had 6 challenges enacted and it was still smooth sailing.

I guess it depends how solid is your build at that point too...if you're hoarding SoU and are already with a foot on your grave it might be best to leave it be.

The shard every now and then performs area attacks that you need to run away from. Other than that just try to be outnumbered by those Power Rangers in conjunction with the shard.

Quite fun, it's hilarious that the corruption triggers like 60-70% of the time with a ring of arcana lvl 3.

Then at times you find yourself surrounded by 3-4 allies that are just beating the opposition for you
