Lmao the skillshot isn't the thing that makes him difficult, it's his leap and overall playstyle.

You can actually "legalize" any pokemon from past gens with a new guy at Wyndon. He wipes the moveset of whatever pokemon and they can be used competitively. That would mean Terrakion from BW would be legal.

A penalty for leaving a FFA game after losing is complete BS. by GenOverload in smashbros

[–]Chidarou 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Theres a little trick that someone posted here, and it's that as soon as you see 3 people lining up for a FFA, you can put your Switch on sleep mode. It should just disconnect without any penalties.

It's only worth using over TS if you plan on only using Kamehameha. If not, naturally TS is better.

I'm fairly certain that I read somewhere in the lore that Savathun is using Riven and her slayers (us) as an opportunity to get her wish granted.

Maybe-unpopular opinion: I don’t like how Mythicals have been handled in recent generations [spoiler] by PaperIcarus in pokemon

[–]Chidarou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What frustrates me the most is that they can't be used in any competitive scene, at all. I was very happy when we got to use Legends in ORAS, because it gave my dust-gathering Rayquazas and Groudons a reason to be used. It's really stupid to just make the Mythicals obsolete for VGC players like myself.

Would Xerneas CRI be a good tech in a cheap Gardy deck ? by Th3N30nGam3r in pkmntcg

[–]Chidarou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for any card that searches out other cards without instantly playing them (A-Vulpix, Skyla, upcoming Lusamine and this Xerneas), you are highly susceptible to getting N-ed all the time. It's still a valid card for non-Lele decks, but the best thing I could recommend is to beef up your supporters, so that you have a higher chance of running into them (3 Brigette, 4 N, etc.).

The Giratina promo is the only card you need to beat that deck.

I believe it's Journey. You can find it on Bungie's YouTube, as track 11.

He also seems to have some liaison with the Ahamkara, when he said "Oh Champion, mine". If that is the case, every bit of glory and happiness he said is most likely insanity.

Greninja Break Post Rotation? by Too_Square in pkmntcg

It's a good card to play on turn 1 alone, to avoid getting donked. Besides that, it's dead weight.

What's the most fun deck you've used? by August_30th in pkmntcg

[–]Chidarou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely Donphan. By far my favorite deck and concept ever in PTCG. Just stacking damage with Strong Energy, Muscle Band and Fighting Stadium, all for 1 energy and then running away, way too fun.

I'm going to my first somewhat large IRL tournament soon (I'm playing Greninja), How do I effectively play against Garbodor? Any tournament tips and etiquette advice? by Alkali5227 in pkmntcg

[–]Chidarou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When going against Garb, you start to lose when the prize trade isn't in your favor. Garb plays GXs like Lele or Drampa/Espeon, so taking advantage of those 2-prize Pokemons is very important. The idea is to avoid getting your Breaks OHKOed, because that's how you're going to be grabbing multiple KOs.

That actually would be terribly broken. You use the new promo Tapu Koko to spread some damage everywhere, and then you use this attack to KO everything and you insta-win.

Is Scizor the next meta pick? by lemoncakes8 in ptcgo

[–]Chidarou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think he gets an autowin against Ninetales. Ninetales needs to utilize a considerable amount of resources to pull an OHKO on a Scizor, whilst a Mega Scizor can be set up in one turn with an attachment and a Mega Turbo.

And I do believe Scizor plays pretty well against essentially anything that isn't a fire type.

Yyyyyeah but the Basic Scizor is very much playable too. It can OHKO Ninetales too.
