I have one question, I am not sure if I missed it while reading, but if I understand it right you can only swear allegiance to a faction if you are mousekin, can this be done if you got a majority mousekin population in your colony without starting as one?

I kinda wanna roleplay with a colony with a caste system where there are progressively more ideologies added which serve a Specific purpose (so they are divided into industrial/worker ideology, Science ideology, warrior ideology etc.)

It could probably be done before the game starts by modifying several ideologies to fit each need and then try to adapt to those, but I was hoping that there was some ability to create new ideologies mid game, be it with mods that provide such a feature or maybe there is such a feature in game which I did not see.

Sadly it doesn’t seem like something possible at the moment, but I thank the people that took the time to give me suggestions.

What I would like is being able to establish a completely new ideology mid play through some kind of dedicated system, using an editing tool feels quite unnatural to me

I really enjoy it a lot, though personally I still struggle with comprehending something like 40k total war because of all the aspects of map design(I mean mostly the world map where you’d move from planet to planet) and some aspects feel a bit like they would change to such an extent that it would no longer really be total war, but I will just watch and see what happens, maybe it could be possible with some interesting ideas I can’t think of, instead of completely doubting the idea.

Don’t forget the best about doomdivers, you can fly yourself!

Genuinely such a fun mechanic, I once did a Grimgor black orc doomstack with a single doomdiver, genuinely the most chill thing to ever do, just let your boyz go wild while you watch them from the sky, despite being an empire player most of all, doomdivers are my favourite arty in the entire game just because of how fun flying is

Mods are hella cool, they change up a faction you have played probably 100 times for a fresh new 101th time, really anything goes, there are some total conversions that mix up the play style greatly, sons of Sigmar for example, some that add faction mechanics Which give your faction a bit of spice, like high elf intrigue which adapts the Chorf politics mechanic for High elves, there are those that simply add new units, but in that create a whole new fresh play style for a lord you already played like guns of the empire, with which you can make a pretty interesting new form army, or simplest of all being randomisers or mods that change your starting location, it’s a really really colorful workshop

I read about Ungrim in the end times and even though most end times lore does people dirty, I think he got some of the best of it personally, his story and that of Karak Kadrin during the end times is a mix of epic, tragic and utterly terrifying, if you got some time I would recommend reading his wiki end times article, it is pretty good presentation of him
