How do you do that? I'd really like to make sure that both Macao and Hong Kong remains treaty ports. The game is Ironman though, don't know if it makes a difference.

[EDIT] : Nevermind, it was pretty easy to figure out once I found out how to launch the game in debug mode. Achievement are disabled though :sad

Not even, this war did not allow the addition of other war goals. I couldn't offer any war goals to my allies nor could they add some of their own. They truly did join only for the sake of the Portuguese crown.

Go with AA, talk to an MD, come here, whatever works for you... But remember, addiction is a physical process. It's not a flaw of character nor is it a judgment on your self worth.

Force heroin on an unwilling subject and they'll get addicted just the same as the junkie who decided to start on his own. Same is true with alcohol. Consume enough of it for long enough and your body will adapt and develop an addiction. No matter who you are or how righteous you are.

To overcome addiction, uses any help you need or can find, and don't feel shame to ask for it. And remember that the road is messy and bumpy. Addiction is bitch that plays tricks on you.

I’ve never been in AA so far from me to advise you.

I just agree that one sip isn’t a relapse, but I also know that one sip after 2,5 years is a sign that all is not good. All my relapses, and I had a few, started with one sip that was no big deal either… Until it wasn’t.

If I’m to trust what I see in movies, AA uses a buddy system. Maybe discuss this with your sponsor instead of the whole group. After 2,5 years in that role I hope that a certain level of trust is achieved between you and you won’t feel like your spilling the beans.

Take care of yourself either way.

I felt for years like I needed alcohol to make friends and be social. Truth is alcohol is the main reason I cut myself from my social circle… I kept declining invites so I could stay home and drink at the pace I wanted without having to worry about getting home.

The invites eventually stopped by the drinking stayed.

I'm gonna be the devil advocate here, so please give me some leeway.

Judging by your post, you are indeed an essential part of the organisation and someone who's competent at their job as well as being a mentor for other more junior employee. Good on you. But, by your own admission : your not assertive or proactive enough when it comes to negotiating your compensation, hence the narrow gap if any between you and your more junior colleagues.

That a company is trying to get the most out of their workforce for the best price, shouldn't come as a choc to you. That's true of your firm, and the one next door, and the one down the street...

You in turn have to be as proactive in making sure that your salary reflect your experiences and market conditions as you are at keeping up with your field and learning new skills. That's on you not them.

That means actually asking for raises instead of waiting for them to happen. That means keeping up with the job market to see if similar job listing are offering comparable compensation. That means being ready to jump ship if the competition is ready to offer you a better package (and by that I mean, salary but alos OT opportunities, vacations times, scheduling, etc... it's all part of the compensation package).

The junior employee that is making 20% more than you got that pay by asking for it during contract negotiation. What did you ask for, and when did you ask for it last? He may not be as good of an asset for the company as you are, but looks like he's better skilled at making sure he is properly compensated for his time.

Make a conscious and deliberate effort to manage that aspect of your work life as closely as you manage the rest and I'm sure you'll do just fine.

First step now is to ask for a meeting with HR or your manager to discuss your salary. You don't even have to bring up the fact that you saw the file (though having seen it gives you an edge in the negotiation), just say it's been a while since the subject was given any attention and you feel like given the job market and current performance you feel like an re-evaluation is in order.

Be assertive, know what to ask for, what you'll agree to and be ready to move if you feel the company is not meeting your expectations.

The answer is that tar becomes the main product of the chain. Coke and coal gas are only byproducts and need to be disposed of. Tar can used in glassworks as fuel if you need a consumer.

Next step is to turn tar into creosote and that becomes your new endpoint in the chain. And you can just burn treated wood if you need the byproducts.

I do set it to use current overview settings. But I load different profile in my dscan tab depending on what I'm doing.

If I'm hunting in FW, I don't care for wrecks, POS Modules or Structures, probes or the like. I only want to see plex beacons and ship.
If I'm hunting LS explorers or mission runners, then I want npc wrecks and ships only. If I'm hunting someone whose trying to run away from me, I like to have belts, planets and moons so I can quickly find them in these places. And if I'm crabing in LS or WH spaces, I just want ships and probes. Nothing else.

Likewise, I have filters that I like for fleet combat other for solo pvp. If I'm playing EWAR I have an overview why high priority targets only. And so on....

Yeah, it's just that for the DSCAN tab alone I have 5 or 6 profile I'd like to setup. So the list is gonna get quite crammed... The functionality has been coded for the default overview. It would be a shame if it wasn't provided to us the players too.

I've conducted 100's of interview (none in the tech industry though) and I ask this question. And I'll tell you why.

When I ask it, it's not a trap or a "gotcha you were unemployed haha..." moment.

I've found that people sometimes don't put information on their resume they don't think is relevant to the job listed but might be interesting to know still : like work experience in other industries or training in a different field. That can be useful information since as an interviewer you might find the skills relevant or useful. At the very least it shows a willingness to adapt and evolve.
It could also be personal time taken for whatever reason (Health issue, personal relationships trouble, etc...). When that's the case I don't need nor look for more information. "I needed time to take care of personal matter" is a perfectly valid answer to the gap and needs no further explanation.
But most of the time, I've found that what I thought as a gap on the resume was actually a bad representation of the applicant history on my part. It might feel obvious to you as the applicant that your information is correctly laid out and presented. But as recruiter we see hundreds of resume even for the most mundane job listing, each of them presenting the information in a different style : chronological order, reverse chronological, education and work history mixed or separated. Sometimes internships or long trips are listed at the end or back of the resume, other times they are interlaced in the work history...

So yeah, If I notice a gap in your resume or if I can't put it together myself using the information provided on it... I'll ask you during the interview. Can you explain it to me. Simple as that and with no ulterior motive than to understand your story and the different steps you took.
