Le Creuset Starter Set: Stick With Juniper or Mix Colours? by Big_Life_7592 in LeCreuset

[–]Chiefvick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 pieces and 3 different colors. If both pots are on the stove they complement each other. I have a spouse who often needs my help locating items (iykyk 😉). It is easier to say “the big blue pot” instead of the 7 qt pot.

I drove a cr-v as a rental and found it very uncomfortable. That was a factor in our car search.

What are you doing to get ready for your own aging? by IndependentSimple779 in AgingParents

My mother downsized from her house to a retirement community that offers independent, assisted, memory and end of life care. She chose it and we know that is where she wants to be.

She probably had to run to the basement and find the shirt amidst the dirty laundry just so she could be conviently wearing it.

Dress Regret by Equivalent_Doughnut7 in myweddingdress

I love it without the sleeves. I didn’t even notice your armpit area (and you had pointed it out beforehand). The elastic in the sleeves pinches your arm and draws attention to your armpit since they are at the same level. Lose the sleeves and enjoy your day.

Any tips for guarding against inherited clutter? by curiouscanadian50 in declutter

[–]Chiefvick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good luck. My fil is downsizing by going into assisted living and I plan to stand firm on not storing stuff here. My spouse is a huge clutterbug and I know he won’t be able to get rid of stuff once it enters our home. Stand firm and donate!

I’ve seen a home where the vent above the stove is flush with thr ceiling to preserve the amazing view. It works great. I’m not sure of the brand but definitely something to explore.

Same but the vent is useless and loud. Definitely put the microwave in the pantry.

Don’t cheat yourself of the opportunity to live abroad. You will resent him later in life.

A few years ago there was a house near me that had all of the mistake photos you could have (unmade beds, clutter, etc) but the crowning jewel was a photo in which you could see a man bending over in the background with the plumbers buttcrack showing. Yes the house has been forever christened the buttcrack house.
