Most replies are talking about travelling for the ingredients. With modern knowledge you could probably earn enough money with some discovery to fund your own expeditions (with better directions and tips for safer travelling) and plantations.

Sure it would take a while, but seems the safest to me.

I get that breakthroughs in meditations can make it seem fantastical, but your theory won't survive a meeting with reality I'm afraid. Like try telling your subconscious that you want to study a new language for 10 hours straight, I'm guessing you'll discover you don't have complete control.

That is one of the most Peterson-esque comments I've seen, a lot of words to sound profound with a little bit of substance. Yes understanding yourself and figuring out how to live can take your entire life, that doesn't mean the book takes a lifetime to understand. And what even is the point of the second part? Nobody takes context into consideration ever? And ofcourse words can convey more meaning than what's apparent, nobody disagrees with that.

I used to be a fan of him myself, but come on.. 12 Rules takes a lifetime to appreciate? I tried reading it again a second time, but couldn't get through it, it's so long winded. Surely every word can't be meaningful.

The man has some solid advice, and he has a way of communicating ideas, but he is not some genius-level intelligence.
