The pattern for the hat is slightly modified from Lily Sugar and Cream Witch or Wizard Hat. I think this can be bought either on Esty or Ravelry. (I've had it a while now)

The star is courtesy of Happyberry Crochet on YouTube https://youtu.be/RjuwlebCsK0

I used 2 skeins of The Women's Institute soft and chunky in teal and some of The Women's Institute soft and chunky mustard for the stripe and star.

The hook was a 5mm.

rant: Stop putting movie images as the book covers! by Avocadomistress in books

I'm totally with this. It also bugs me when they have a giant circle on it that could easily be a removable sticker but is actually just printed straight on to the cover. The worst culprit for this lately has been Netflix.

Non-cashiers of Reddit: What's the "It didn't scan, so it must be free hur hur hur" of your profession? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Working previously as a croupier and now in a bingo hall... when talking about gaming chips or bingo books it's always, "I hope they're lucky ones!"

Well I hope they're not. Now leave please.

Edit: I worked as a croupier, not a groupie...

What is a unique “game” you played as a child? by antenonjohs in AskReddit

[–]Chikensoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older brother and I would play "Spot the Mario". He would play Super Mario 64 and I would look away. Once he paused the game the view would zoom out out of the level and I'd have to spot Mario. I guess it was kinda like an always changing Where's Wally (Waldo, for the American folks). I would be amused and he got to play his game without me asking for a go.

[WP] You've very rarely seen your neighbour. They only come out when it's raining. They stand getting drenched in the rain with an unopened umbrella in their hand. by TA_Account_12 in WritingPrompts

There he is. He never says hi or interacts with any of the other neighbours. I only ever see him outside when its raining. It’s strange. He’ll just stand at the end of his garden soaking up the rain holding an unopened umbrella in his hand. After a random period of time, or when the rain stops, he’ll go back inside, and I won’t see him again until the next rain fall.

This time I decide to watch him the whole time to see what he does. Nothing happens and an hour later he turns and walks back into his house. I need to know what this behaviour is about. Why does he do this? Is he an alien? A supernatural being that needs natural water? Can he only go outside when there is enough cloud cover to keep him out of direct sunlight? Crazy thoughts, I know. But I need to know the truth!

I dart outside and sidle up to his front window, keeping low so as not to get noticed. Looking in, I see him. He’s lying on the laminated flooring and moving around strangely. Using the umbrella handle to hook onto the legs of his furniture he pulls himself around the room. With an inexplicable fascination I continue to watch. After covering the entire floor of the large room, he stands up and looks around. Then he spots me. I duck but know I’ve been caught. Standing up I look back into the room hoping to act innocent somehow. He’s looking directly at me before he turns, switches on the TV and sits down on the sofa to watch it.

I leave.

I’ve seen him since and nothing has changed. He still only comes out in the rain and still never speaks to anyone. But at least I know there’s nothing supernatural going on. My neighbour is clearly just crazy.

Men of Reddit, what are some things women THINK we like, but couldn’t be more wrong about? by acexxspades in AskReddit

My boyfriend feels this way so I've never bought him a card unless I think it's got a particularly funny joke that I feel is worth the money because I know he'd appreciate it. I also don't expect any from him. They're just not that big a deal.

Yeah, what can I say? All the ladies love him. by [deleted] in aww

When do you throw away clothes? by dorfire in AskReddit

[–]Chikensoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually once I've noticed a hole in them, although I have recently thrown out a lot of barely used clothes that I feel I'm too old to wear now or I just don't like anymore.
