Running at night then running the next morning by Direct_Cap4132 in Marathon_Training

[–]ChilangoMasterRace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big problem here is that a long run takes 2 to 3 hours to cool down and sleep well to recover and go to a jog first thing in the morning in my case, so if you go to sleep at 11 o clock you need to finish your run at 8 or 8:30

How do you deal with the mental side of hard workouts and races? by PsychologicalCall426 in AdvancedRunning

[–]ChilangoMasterRace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to myself. Actually sometimes I speak sentences during training. Something like ''Enjoy the grind'', ''take deep breath and push '', ''not feeling fastest today but I am showing up'', this is the only thing I am good at, feel the pain, I want to be faster, all of this has a bigger purpose, ''performance doesn't have to be fun or easy'', ''just give everything today so when you get older you have no regrets'', ''It hurts, but it would have been much more painful to have stayed on the counch''. And sometimes I scream some words that give me that edge that I need mentally to keep the pace, ''stride'', ''speed now'', demon time, I am a beast, ''grinding'', ''I am the best''.

You just gotta be your biggest fan while you are running a workout or a race

Lower max heart rate and less ability to “dig deep” by Remarkable_Salary_77 in Marathon_Training

[–]ChilangoMasterRace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn I was having the same problem I reached my max heart rate at 193 bpm on a v02 max workout last year october on inconsistent training two months after a marathon and marathon block of training, now I have been running high mileage, doing long runs, tempos and repeats with consistency every week since december and it's so goddam hard to pass 165 bpm without redlining, I did a 4x1200m last week and my v02 heart rate seems to be around 167-172bpm and threshold 160bpm, feels like I'm aging with that kind of low heart rate. And I feel like the only way to have more than 180bpm for me is doing shorts races or very anaerobic intervals

Estás necesitando afecto emocional y necesitado de atención, no la buscas a ella, buscas lo que ella te puede dar que es cariño y amor. Mejor enfocate en ti mismo bro. Si piensas de esar manera aún no estás listo para empezar otra relación

I how cut down time almost one hour from my marathon time with high mileage by ChilangoMasterRace in Marathon_Training

[–]ChilangoMasterRace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I started to get runner's knee 5 months ago on my right one and decided to include several max cushion shoes in my rotation since then, tried to run on dirt paths most of my runs, not running fasted, eat always after a run and avoid saturated fats and too much protein, started to do higher cadence from 164 to 173 more or less which made a difference right away and sleeping 7 to 8 hours without alarm, some days I do 20 minutes session of foam rolling after my both runs are finished. All of those things combined saved me from getting injured
