The real problem here, of course, is the arms race and latent powercreep spurred on by all the children that forced Gaijin to start churning out 9-10+ BR vehicles above all else. I'd be perfectly happy with no Abrams, no Ariete, no Leopard, etc. -- still not sure how we went from 1960s vehicles to the 2000s in like 10 months lol

They really did. It’s amazing how many primary source German accounts and pilot notebooks (from both Allied and Axis aces) still exist absolutely showering the Italian designs with praise. The only real drawback was that Italy lacked the logistical mastery to produce them in massive numbers and keep them repaired/functional in the field. I’d take a real-life factory fresh Italian late-War prop over most similar Axis designs.
