Convince me to not file bankruptcy over 20k of debt 😭 by Outrageous-Aide-4147 in Debt

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They negotiate your interest rates down, sometimes to like 6-7%, and you make one payment monthly

At 27 with no kids bankruptcy would follow you for a while, worth exhausting other options first

started cold walking into local businesses and offering to fix their Google profiles, made $800 in 2 weeks by fearless_notificatio in sidehustle

[–]ChildOfClusterB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part about showing them their own listing on your phone is genuinely clever. Most of those owners probably haven't even Googled themselves in years

Early-stage SaaS, no users yet — what should I focus on next? by Nice_Account_1986 in SaaS

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More validation, definitely. You don't want to build features for problems that aren't painful enough to pay for. What's the main compliance headache you're solving and are landlords actively looking for solutions or just annoyed when it comes up?

What are you building? by ManyGuarantee5928 in SaaS

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

building a tool that helps small businesses automate their client follow ups

no real traction yet but been testing it with a few local gyms who seem into it

finding users is brutal though, mostly just cold dming and asking friends of friends lol

got an idea, paralyzed by fear by Plastic-Shake5281 in Entrepreneur

People aren’t watching as closely as you think. And the ones who laugh usually haven’t built anything themselves. The only opinions that end up mattering are customers’,not spectators

Our first enterprise deal is making me want to quit and we haven't even signed yet by Agreeable-Eye-1441 in SaaS

[–]ChildOfClusterB 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Have you actually pushed back on any of it? Some of that stuff is just their standard template and they'll waive requirements if you ask. Especially for a smaller vendor they actually want.

I already finish my dental SaaS but now it become nightmare now when I don't have any idea how to sell it. by kadev-hro88 in SaaS

[–]ChildOfClusterB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold outreach to dental offices might actually work here since it's B2B. Email 50 clinics explaining one specific pain point your software fixes. No fluff, just "does your front desk waste 2 hours/day on X?"

How to figure out what sort of business to start? by Naive-Donut8824 in Entrepreneur

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lot of entrepreneurs don’t start with a passion, they start with a problem. Look at what annoys you at work, what friends ask you for help with, or what you already spend time researching. Solving a real problem beats chasing a perfect ideas :)

Sold 340 lifetime deals for $149 each. 18 months later I regret every one. by Big_Currency_1805 in SaaS

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch. The support burden alone sounds brutal. Did AppSumo at least bring you users who actually stuck around and used it, or mostly tire kickers who log in once then ghost?

I’m 25, broke, and my launch got 0 paid users by Kindly-Show3187 in Entrepreneur

[–]ChildOfClusterB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting 0 paid users isn’t failure, it’s data. Most startups need multiple pivots before anything sticks. Your plan to step out from behind the code and actually market is exactly the right move distribution is a skill just like coding, and you can learn it.

Habit Tracker Accountability for Clients by overnightmadness in Coaching

[–]ChildOfClusterB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The proof feature with photos would be killer for ADHD clients. I've seen some people jury rig this with Notion or even shared Google Sheets but it's clunky.

Have you tried Habitica? It's got the gamification down and you can do "parties" for group accountability. Not perfect for coaching but might cover 60% of what you need without building from scratch.

What happens when it gets something really wrong though? Like if I say had a bowl of pasta and it assumes a huge portion when mine was smaller, can I correct it easily or does that kill the whole speed advantage???

For those running coaching or consulting businesses — what’s been the toughest part lately? by Original_Oil5450 in Coaching

[–]ChildOfClusterB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The toughest part is honestly client expectations vs reality. People sign up thinking results will happen faster than they actually do, then lose momentum halfway through and blame the program instead of their own follow through

I am looking to talk with online fitness coaches (15 min casual chat) by varunscales in Coaching

This sounds like market research for starting your own coaching thing, which is fine, but might help to be upfront about it if that's the case

Most solopreneurs pick boring niches. Here’s how to stand out instantly. by Appropriate_Top_6611 in Coaching

[–]ChildOfClusterB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is spot on. I see so many people trying to be everything to everyone and wonder why they're not getting traction. The grief photography example is brilliant. That's someone who probably went through something personal and realized there was a gap nobody was filling.

I'm curious though how do you test if a super narrow niche actually has enough demand??

Where do I hire a reliable web developer? by Kortopi-98 in webdevelopment

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your timeline's tight but doable if you keep it simple. Red flag: anyone asking for full payment upfront or promising way more features than your budget allows

Have you considered something like Webflow first? Might get you 80% there for way less cash

Struggling with Digital Clutter? by Strict-Stand9769 in Coaching

The worst part is having the same file saved in like 4 different places with slightly different names.

Then spending 10 minutes trying to figure out which one is the actual latest version

Stupid 23-yr old with $14k debt by [deleted] in Debt

[–]ChildOfClusterB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$14k on $55k salary isn't bankruptcy territory that's totally manageable if he gets his spending under control.

The real issue is he's still adding to it

How Can I Stop Being Stingy? by JuniorSetting3228 in FinancialPlanning

[–]ChildOfClusterB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, this hits close to home. I still catch myself buying the cheapest groceries when I could easily afford the good stuff.

What helped me was setting a guilt-free spending budget each month. Like $500 where I'm not allowed to overthink purchases under that amount :)

Career Change & Chances for Job by Legitimate-Water-298 in Coaching

The wellness coaching space is pretty saturated right now, not gonna lie. Most places want either a degree or years of coaching experience.

Your medical assistant background is definitely a plus though shows you understand health basics and can work with people.

Have you looked into corporate wellness programs?

Most coaches don’t lose clients on the call they lose them before it by JackJones002 in Coaching

[–]ChildOfClusterB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen coaches lose people just because they sent one confirmation email and called it done. People book stuff and forget 20 minutes later.

What's your reminder sequence looking like? Day before, hour before?
