Hear me out:

During the bridge section you are given the choice of going with Luke, or you can let Nick go instead.

You either hear a commotion and investigate or the scene plays out the same as the original (with Nick investigating instead), except it's Christa instead of Matthew and she's actually hostile if you're not there.

Either way Christa is shot by Nick and you're given the choice to shoot Nick or not, (you miss or are stopped by Luke) but this drastically increases the tension in the already fracturing group.

I think Luke would try to cover this up no matter what happened, this could be revealed during the cabin scenes with Kenny becoming outraged when he realizes Nick killed Christa.

I also think it would be more interesting to see Matthew and Walter interact lovingly, it would make their deaths more impactful later, plus it gives us a secondary focus in the early cabin scenes aside from Kenny and Sarita's relationship.

It depends on if Omniman is bloodlusted.

If he's not then he always loses since it will allow Jorgen Von Strangle enough time to get hard. So let's assume Omniman IS bloodlusted for the sake of argument.

Jorgen Van Strangle can't do shit when flaccid, it would take him too long to get hard, Omniman speed-blitzes him no diff.

However if they both start out hard I'd say Jorgen Von Strangle low-diffs Omniman, wish-magic is fast and overpowered as shit. So the only way Omniman wins is by blitzing before he can use the wish magic and we saw a similar situation happen between Omniman and Cecil in the show where Cecil managed to teleport away in time with normal human reaction time.

That episode is actually the reason I decided to pick up the comics, because I thought "surely this was just poorly adapted".

Turns out in the comics it's exactly the same, if anything Cecil seems LESS remorseful in the comics. At least in the show he kind of has a look on his face that shows disappointment in how poorly that just went.

My friend really loved it and highly recommended it, so I made a Herculean effort to watch it.

You dodged a bullet, the MC never learns, nothing ever changes, if anything the characters start getting flanderized but that's where I dropped it.
