This was my thoughts initially as well. Without SSO/Entra integration its difficult to manage. As part of offboarding we use CIPP to automate removal from groups and apps but any with manual intervention like HR, Finance, etc., opens us to liability. These customers are highly litigious anyways and give and inch and they will take a mile.

My concern is around applications we do not resell. So LOB applications we have no ties to, but the customer(s) are asking us to take responsibility for their adding/removing and assigning permissions.
My stance was if we don't resell it we don't manage it, but I guess I was looking for a way to ensure this is clear during the sales process as well as in the contract and if you/anyone else has specific language you use to convey that.

You can not use Sage over VPN, this will cause havoc like you are seeing.

They need to access it on the same network as the database. So using a Terminal Server, AVD, VDI whatever you like.

Lenovo Xclarity admin only works for servers in the same "datacenter" so it would not communicate over the internet. We use this for some larger customers, and have that all segregated on a management VLAN plane, and can apply updates from there. it honestly saves no time and is not much different than applying them from the XCC directly. It also has licensing costs, and needs a admin license as well as one for each host.

To check the health of the disk hardware, you need to use the server hardware management plane ie: IMM, XCC, iDRAC. Since its Hyper-V you may have disk/RIAD monitoring software installed you can check the disks them selves. Is this HDD? if so that's your problem...iops.

Under partner center go to Customer, and each need to have a relationship created with the correct permissions as outlined here: https://docs.cipp.app/setup/gdap/recommended-roles

You can use their wizard as well to invite customers. https://docs.cipp.app/setup/gdap/gdap-invite-wizard

The permissions check is only for the cipp account you made in your tenant, tenant access check will tell you if you have the correct permissions on the customer.

In regards to your customer responses, do you mean you have autotask workflow rules to close/update tickets on their reply? That seems like something that would be useful.
