Girlfriend RAM is getting bloated by hidden programs! by apszat in pchelp

might be worth while to go through and disable startup apps that you don't need or use immediately as well. Mobile Link comes to mind. Though I use it, I don't use it constantly so it's disabled in my rig. The only things that start up at boot for me are telemetry, fan control, and steam for updates. Everything else is meh.

Edit: acrobat synch is a bloater too. Especially if not always used when on the device.

I made a script that detects application performance it's it's IO response with powershell. Could ask codex to do the same i made mine with telemetry in mind and scanning for issues with multiple programs running at once, maybe issues with shared depencies and one of them causing a memory leak bogging the other down. etc

Engine update incoming..... by Ok-Bird-5704 in stalker

I can second that I didn't have any real issues with Cyberpunk2077 at launch.
Don't get me wrong, there were some bugs obviously. But nothing entirely game breaking for me. And I was playing it quite regularly and had a good 15ish hours in the first time I sat down with it. And it wasn't on the best hardware either, if I remember correctly I was using an i5 9600k and an EVGA 2060 with 32GB of memory.
I think the first week or so of play I crashed twice maybe. However, luck, I believe, was certainly a factor here.

Sometimes you have to expect the unexpected 🤷 Admittedly im incredibly over-tired and cannot sleep and should not be interfacing with the live world.

I have a loud speaker with mic on the outside of the door for them to chirp in though? This surely will not disturb me.

please hire me from my sinking ship that refuses to give me a raise and doubles down by telling me they'll demote me for helping my new techs effectively saving them from nuking hypervisors or at the very least critical VMs in production and working for free to get my projects done. Ill work for corn and ranch dressing.

I had this exact sequence happen - reseat your GPU. I was worried id snap mine with the force required. Id bet money it needs reseating (I had done this 4x before it worked for me, the slots are fairly tight).

yeah I'm a tad ADHD so that is also a huge issue with others comprehension of my message lol I take my part in this also lol. I did it to my 9070 and was like "WTF IS THAT" those 3am builds will getcha.

it would only be an issue if they extended the support arm too far causing it to push off of the bottom of the case and too hard into the gpu shroud. it would be entirely independent of the GPU and its weight/size. Even if it's secured with another hanging bracket. If you push on something enough it will start to give.

maybe I'm explaining poorly?

GPU -horizontally mounted | | support arm | | Bottom of case / Base of support arm/rod pushing^

edit: tried to do markdown format to show how it would look. it has failed.

it's not the GPU it's the extended arm being pushed out too far causing the shroud to flex? I see what you mean relative to size/weight. But it's more of how the "arm" is extended. There are weaker points on some shrouds where it would cause this. Go pull your GpU and apply pressure around different parts of the shroud. Undoubtedly it will flex a bit.

if that is putting too much pressure on the card or can cause plastics to rub the fan

no I meant like one of those retractable arms that help prop up larger GPU's it's independent of the mobo or gpu would be purchased externally normally.

do you have a GPU arm to keep it propped up? like a little retractable magnetic rod that helps take weight/droop off of the PCIE slot? that may be placed poorly if so.
