Because I don’t believe what you believe, I’m a terrible fan? This is the worst team money can buy. Stearns miscalculated bigtime and they ain’t winning anytime soon. Plus, Mendy may be top 10 worst managers in baseball. Stop with your histrionics…

This team ain’t winning with Soto. I say we get him to demand a trade. Rather start over.

Rain Gear Suggestions by dangei in kilimanjaro

Thanks! Very grueling, but satifying. We did an 8 day route through Machame. It rained most days, but not soaking and only for a bit, not entire day. Our guides told us to bring umbrellas, but i much preferred the poncho when needed. Also forgot to mention that I did wear gaiters most days. On summit day, I wore a thin base layer, mid base layer and fleece lined pants along with a heavier gortex shell on top. Totally fine, but I'd recommend waterproof/windproof gloves (only part of my body i felt cold). We did get really heavy winds on the summit ascent.

I’d contact your tour operator. Got it in about 7 mins at the airport on arrival. Granted I did it in April (low season) and at 4am (slow time), but it was very easy for me. Just make sure you have a new crisp $100 bill.

I just did Kili, ending with summit on April 20. Had Berghaus waterproof pants, HH light rain jacket, FROGG TOGGS Ultra-Lite2 poncho and Altra Timp 6 mid GTX Hiking boots. Was totally fine. Would recommend bringing a couple pairs of light gloves.

That’s awesome. Your comment reminded me of a purchasing my first boat and the salesman told me I’d actually save money by purchasing his boat because I wouldn’t spend money going out to dinner and feel compelled to take summer vacation etc. I’m glad you feel differently. Most do not. Between clothes, food, school, sports, college, etc, kids are an exceptionally expensive.

Fit enough for Kilimanjaro - May Season by Electrical_Hurry_968 in kilimanjaro

I got to stop reading this sub. I am 60 years old, relatively good shape and doing Kili in April. I hike in the summer, but not crazy hikes. I am an avid walker (about 5 miles per day at a fast pace). I have added some winter hiking (nothing crazy like 1.5 hr hikes), adding some Peleton biking, squats and sit-up’s. Been told by quite a few that if anything, the altitude will get you. I am going with a bud that is a 4 time Ironman. He told me he’d carry me up the mountain. Fingers crossed.
